pepperfeet Posted February 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2017 Any suggestions for a hotel in Fort Lauderdale post cruise . We will be flying back two days later because of a cheaper flight, so it has to be cost effective. $730 leaving Sunday compared to $304 leaving tuesday. Well be in the Allure April 2. Also within walking distance of things to do.

FireStation46 Posted February 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 11, 2017 Height of season for Spring Breakers and such. I preferr Marriott. Rates there wont save vs what you Are doing airfare wise. You may have to opt for 2nd tier hotel chains. You can alway try those Hotel booking sites Trivago, Hotels etc. i never used them. Marriott offers their lowest rates direct without these sites. If that does not work perhaos oaying the airfare penalty will work vs cost of hotels, measl etc for the extended saty. If I could soend a few extra days in Florida, I would! Safe travels, enjoy your trip!
KBRADFORD79 Posted February 11, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 11, 2017 We always stay at the Marriott Harbor Beach and Spa. It's simply beautiful and reasonably priced. Enjoy FLL!

And Marriott points add up fast. I am taking a land based vacation in March and used points to pay for the room in lieu of cash!

KBRADFORD79 Posted February 11, 2017 #9 Share Posted February 11, 2017 I usually wake up around 5 am to see the ships sailing in to the port. But check out this balcony view from the Marriott Harbor Beach.

BrownIGirl21 Posted February 11, 2017 #12 Share Posted February 11, 2017 We stayed at Snooze and really liked the location and small, friendly property. It is a great location across from the beach and close to plenty of restaurants. Also, very close to a water taxi stop.
Rare huntr104 Posted February 12, 2017 #13 Share Posted February 12, 2017 We've been staying at Lago Mar Resort for years now either pre or post cruise. My family loves it. It's beautiful, on the beach and you can see the Cruise ships coming into and out of port. We'll be staying there again in May for a couple days post cruise. jamesr3939 Posted February 12, 2017 #15 Share Posted February 12, 2017 Doubletree Galleria One has been a hit for us and is usually pretty reasonable. A must try is the little French bakery across the street on the first floor of the large apartment building. The water taxi stops just outside the back door. imlulu Posted February 12, 2017 #21 Share Posted February 12, 2017 We stayed at Hyatt Place post cruise a few years ago. It was very nice, but a little bit of a walk from water taxi. It's right next door to Embassy Suites. It's a easy area if you have no car.

Rare huntr104 Posted February 13, 2017 #25 Share Posted February 13, 2017 Lago Mar is one of the reasons why we like sailing out of Fort Lauderdale. Agreed. It's also very conveniently located within a couple minutes of the cruise port and airport. I also just saw that you're a fellow Rhode Islander!! Small world, lol.
