mom 2 my boys Posted February 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2017 My friend heard that if you have early seating you watch the show after dinner. Which is normal for all cruise lines. Although, if you have late seating your show time is BEFORE dinner?! I hope this isn't true!!! Please tell me she heard wrong lol One of the reasons we enjoy late seating for dinner is so we can relax and not feel rushed to get ready for dinner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Ok, so this means the show is AFTER dinner correct?! I'm confused now lol I've been on over 40 cruises and never had a show before dinner. Except the captains cocktail reception. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare BermudaBound2014 Posted February 11, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 11, 2017 Ok, so this means the show is AFTER dinner correct?! I am so sorry for writing such a stupid post. What I meant to say is that you friend is correct. MSC does the shows backward from other companies. If you have late seating you will see the show before dinner. The shows are shorter than the typical cruise show, and the dinners are longer than the typical cruise line. An example Early dinner sees 8:30 show Late dinner sees the 7:00 show Times do vary a bit, but they are close to what I have posted. Again, my apologies. I try to be helpful and my first post on this thread was anything but :::embarrassed:::: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rare BermudaBound2014 Posted February 11, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 11, 2017 [emoji4]...it is weird but I got used to it. MSC is more subdued at night than other lines, so i just adjusted the schedule and enjoyed the sunrises :). I guess we will have to get used to it for the week or just skip the shows. We enjoy the evening shows and might just go and see how they are. nautica34 Posted February 12, 2017 #12 Share Posted February 12, 2017 Op - I thought the same as you seeing the show before dinner. I always have late dindinner and prefer the show after. The nice thing was not having to rush through get dinner to get good seats which was always the case with other lines. The shows were amazing, wouldn't recommend skipping them You'll have time after the show and before dinner to go back to your cabin. If you're worried about not having anything to do after dinner, there were nightly events in the black and white lounge which were great. Rare nikkiw60 Posted February 12, 2017 #13 Share Posted February 12, 2017 There is also live music in most of the bars with dancing in the Golden Jazz bar and the Black and White, Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
where to next? Posted February 12, 2017 #14 Share Posted February 12, 2017 Can't be done any other way really. We prefer freedom type dining, eat when you want to. Never eat at the same time every day at home..... Sent from my SM-J500FN using Forums mobile app

nautica34 Posted February 13, 2017 #16 Share Posted February 13, 2017 Yes, the disco was open at night to fairly late. Went a couple of times, few people there. It's located away from most of the venues. Sent from my SM-G930T using Forums mobile app

Sent from my iPhone using Forums If you on late sitting you see show before dinner. It's on any cruise line. Late sitting 8:30 in order to have show after it should start 10:30 -11:00 .
