Eagle_and_hawk Posted February 28, 2017 Author #56 Share Posted February 28, 2017 Skywalkers is a nice & usually a quite place to go during the day with good views out the windows. Eagle_and_hawk Posted February 28, 2017 Author #62 Share Posted February 28, 2017 The promenade deck gives you a nice area to walk around the ship or relax in a chair. Eagle_and_hawk Posted February 28, 2017 Author #65 Share Posted February 28, 2017 The first night, as a suite benefit, we ate at the Crown Grill. I am not sure if they had a lot of reservations on the books or not, however when we called right after getting on board, they only had 6:30 or 8:30PM available. Ellipooh Posted February 28, 2017 #67 Share Posted February 28, 2017 (edited) Really enjoying your postings and all the photos. Regarding the differences in the WS vs. Vista, I am sad you have confirmed there is no curtain. Can you tell me if the single TV swivels easily between the bedroom area and LR area? Also, even tho there is no wet bar, PLEASE tell me that there is still a refrigerator in the cabin?!? I couldnt quite tell, but maybe it is under the glassware. Thanks - ellipooh ETA: Okay, that was a dumb question. I am sure all of the cabins have a refrigerator. So i guess i need to know if there is still a mini-bar set-up that i can change out for my 2 coffee cards. It is a full suite, so that should be undisturbed -- but frankly i thought the wet bar was standard for all suites, too. There was very little on TV, besides onboard shopping shows or the morning wake show. Old Love Boat shows, and maybe 5-6 other channels. We don't watch it much, however do like to turn it on for a bit when getting ready to leave. We could not find much in the way of a TV guide to browse thru, as was looking for some music to play in the back ground when getting dressed. There is a refrigerator, in the cabinet, under where the glasses sit. We did get the mini-bar setup as part of the suite too. You should have no problem swapping it out for coffee cards as on any other ship.
kelleherdl Posted February 28, 2017 #73 Share Posted February 28, 2017 Thanks so much for posting. We have F305 on our BI this September. We are HAL cruisers and this is our first Princess cruise. I am disappointed there is no curtain around the tub. Shower stall is fine, but we like the option. Is it true that the Churchill Lounge is a smoking venue? Seems strange to have a muster station in a smoking venue. Dennis
JF - retired RRT Posted February 28, 2017 #74 Share Posted February 28, 2017 We could not find much in the way of a TV guide to browse thru Some bright bulb at corporate decided we don't need a printed TV guide. There is a channel on the TV that has a list of what's on the channels currently and the next hour or 2. Kind of like what you get with cable TV... only not as useful. It originally started as a cigar lounge, probably back when people could smoke cigarettes in other places on the ships. Now that smoking is limited to a couple of outdoor designated areas, and most nights in the casino, it usually is full of cigarette smokers through out the day, especially if the weather is not nice outside. The muster station is in there, however on both port/starboard sides of the lounge, there is a sitting area outside the entrance doors, which was also used during the drill. It was a small area, and seems like there was maybe 30-40 people at the most back there.
