bostongal123 Posted March 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2017 Several 'guru' cruise packing 'lists' I read online suggest a portable fan for making the cabins more comfortable. Is this really necessary? What is the temperature like on board Oasis?
Merion_Mom Posted March 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2017 I had no problem with the temperature in my cabin(s) on the Oasis. I tend to be warm, rather than cold, and I was always able to get my cabin nice and cool. :)
bostongal123 Posted March 11, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted March 11, 2017 Thanks! While we are on the topic of temperatures, what about outdoor temperatures on board Oasis? E.g. on the top decks or around the public pool areas during the day? What about the night time?
setsail Posted March 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 11, 2017 I don't know if you would need a fan or not or the temp of a cabin for a future cruise. Both our cabins on o were very cool. On the other hand we sail with friends who have had ac problems twice It's hot outside in the Caribbean all year long, you can look at a weather app for temps
Freehike Posted March 11, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 11, 2017 We also have never had an issue on any of the Oasis ships. We love it icy cold at night when sleeping and had zero problems. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
Pennyscandy Posted March 18, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 18, 2017 How about in door areas, such as dinning room, theater and casino. We were on the Carnival Victory and almost froze. Two in our group bought coats to wear inside. We are going on the Oasis in May and 2 of us are cold natured.

moopetguy Posted March 18, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 18, 2017 Since some in your group run on the cooler side -- I suggest to pack a light zip-up hoodie, as it's versatile. You can wear it as a wind-breaker on the upper decks if you find it cooler, say at night. You can wear it during warm-up if you use the gym. You can wear it in the main theatre or during the ice dance show, or just use it to wrap around your legs while sitting during the shows. Leave the zipper undone, zip it up any amount you want, or tie it around your waist, any time you want. :)
ksmith61 Posted March 18, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 18, 2017 They will confiscate your fan and claim fire hazard.... unless you have a doctor's note....lol They once gave us an "approved" fan that had frayed wires. So much for fire hazard.
breeze123 Posted March 18, 2017 #10 Share Posted March 18, 2017 I usually have a light sweater or jacket for walking outside at night. I'm usually cold and that's all I need. Never needed it indoors. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
