ladylyn915 Posted March 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2017 Our family of 16 is looking for a beach - nothing else. We don't want to snorkel or scuba. We don't want to take an excursion or get a day pass for $100 per person. We have some small children so restroom facilities are necessary. If possible, purchasing bottled water would be great. Two or three hours at the beach would be enough. We are fine with taking a taxi, but we are concerned about getting back to the ship and don't want to be very far ( more than 30 minutes max) from the pier. Is this possible? Thank you for any info you can share.

blue_water Posted June 21, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 21, 2017 There are nice beaches to the east around Bayahibe and Dominicus, the public beach at Dominicus would probably be a good choice. We've only taxied there when the taxi was coordinated by our excursion operator so you'd have to talk to the taxi coordinator there for pricing. It's about 20 min to Bayahibe and a few minutes further to Dominicus.
