How do I find out the phone number or way to contact the ship to leave for my family in case of emergency?

The carnival call center

1-800-227-6482. They contact the ship and arrange a s2s call.

And I always leave the ship name, cabin #, and booking number with me family just in case.

We leave a copy of our boarding pass, itinerary pg and copy of our travel insurance summary with policy number with my sister and DH sister along with the phone number for Carnival emergency contact. You never know what info someone would need to find very quickly to track us down OR if CCL called our emergency contact with not so good news and our 14 yr son was left alone for some reason and needed to be flown home or someone from home needed to get to where he was.

 

I am a realist and ever since my FIL died while we were on a big family vacation in 2008 in an accident we have always had travel insurance and made sure our information was available on both ends. I saw the confusion and the devastation of trying to get people home and my FIL body. It was horrible to go through but the confusion added to the devastation.

On our cruise to Hawaii onboard the Spirit a few years ago we lost out Greyhound (he died in his sleep). Our son was notified by the rescue place where we boarded him while we were gone and he, in turn, called Carnival Corporate and they arranged a call (without charge). He and our daughter debated for a couple of days if they should notify us but I'm glad they did.
