Golden Princess Average Age?

I am hoping to get an idea on the average age of people on the Golden Princess Southern Caribbean route?

I think the length of the cruise and the date of the voyage are also factors but I will give you my 2 cents anyway...

I've been on the Golden three times and each time had a different impression. 1st time - early January, 7-day, eastern caribbean, I felt it was an older crowd, 60+. 2nd time - late January, 7-day western, it felt like a 40-50 aged crowd. 3rd time, October, repositioning 7-day caribbean... younger crowd, more like 30-40ish.

 

These are just my very subjective opinions and I am sure that opinions will vary. You really can't count on any specific age, though. Last January, on her sister ship the Star, during college winter break, 7-day westernI would estimate that 80% of the passengers were under 30!

 

For me, the younger the passengers, the more crowded the ship feels because they're all out and about and near the pools. With an older crowd I think more stay indoors... just MHO.

I was on the Golden almost two years ago (eastern carib).

 

It seemed that most of the passengers were at least my age (almost 50) and much older. Dont think I spotted one child. Saw very few young adults (20-30).

 

It was a great ship and had a great time.

We just returned from a Golden sailing out of San Juan. The average age was somewhere in the 40's. Ours had a wide variety of people from toddlers all the way up to 80+.

We just retd from the 11/5 sailing on the Golden and would have to agree with the last poster. A wide variety of ages on board. Did not see a lot of early 20's and very few children.
