Mrs applehead Posted April 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2017 Can someone please help? We are due to have an evening flight back from Barbados in November and I'm worried what we will do all day before our flight with our 3 year old. Do we have to disembark when we leave our cabin? If we can stay on-board can we get off for a while then get back on? Are there any facilities to get changed on board? Thank you
lake5298 Posted April 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2017 You have to leave the cabin but you stay on board - buses leave for the airport all day depending on your flight time. Hand luggage can be left at the theatre for safe keeping. Get off and back on the ship exactly the same as you can do at all the other ports. BrianI Posted April 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2017 You will leave the ship around three hours before your flight departure time. If the incoming flight is late they will delay your departure from the ship so you are not hanging round the airport too long. Brian
Pauly1 Posted April 24, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 24, 2017 You may be able to pay extra for a cabin for the day, which we have done in the past. I note you have a little one, this is very handy so they can have a knap ect. and make life easier for showering and changing for the journey home. Theia Posted April 24, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 24, 2017 Can you do this on other cruise lines too?
terrierjohn Posted April 25, 2017 #8 Share Posted April 25, 2017 Can you do this on other cruise lines too? If the entire ship is using charter flights then most likely they will operate in a similar way. However if everyone is flying on different airlines at different time to different places, then its more likely they will bus you off to the airport after an early morning disembarkation, although most lines try to tailor the coach times to flight times, and some, like Princess, will send you to a Hotel and provide lunch while you wait till nearer your flight time. mickey89 Posted April 28, 2017 #9 Share Posted April 28, 2017 (edited) You may be able to pay extra for a cabin for the day............... They will offer DAY Cabins (9.30am to 4.30pm) a couple of days before disembarkation. Last year Inside Cabins were £50 and Balcony £70. Highly recommend you consider a Lounge pass at Barbados Airport for the 2/3 hour wait. This will allow you to avoid the Main waiting area as it is very hot and normally manic with the numerous flights waiting departure. Goto www.loungepass.com (costs £22/pp and children are free) Edited April 28, 2017 by mickey89
