Clarea Posted May 1, 2017 #26 Share Posted May 1, 2017 I work in the travel industry and we got a notification today regarding Enchantment moving to Galveston and the sailings currently schedule on Enchantment from June 2018 on, will be on the Mariner of the Seas. There should be more info coming out to public soon. Thanks for the clarification and advance notice.:)

Biker19 Posted May 1, 2017 #28 Share Posted May 1, 2017 2 RCI ships in Galveston? Liberty already has some of the lowest rates - is she moving?
OfTheSeasCruiser Posted May 1, 2017 #29 Share Posted May 1, 2017 2 RCI ships in Galveston? Liberty already has some of the lowest rates - is she moving? There will be 2 ships there this coming winter as well... Vision and Liberty.
Biker19 Posted May 1, 2017 #30 Share Posted May 1, 2017 There will be 2 ships there this coming winter as well... Vision and Liberty. But I assume Enchantment would move there in the summer when Mariner arrives.
Blizzard54 Posted May 1, 2017 #31 Share Posted May 1, 2017 If it does happen the Enchantment would go to Galveston not too long after the Vision goes to Europe. I do find it strange that the Vision is moving there for the winter, as mentioned Galveston has some of the lowest prices in the fleet.
OfTheSeasCruiser Posted May 1, 2017 #32 Share Posted May 1, 2017 But I assume Enchantment would move there in the summer when Mariner arrives. Oh yeah, didn't think of that. That's odd.
internetwhiz Posted May 1, 2017 #33 Share Posted May 1, 2017 2 RCI ships in Galveston? Liberty already has some of the lowest rates - is she moving? Liberty is booked in Galveston through spring 2019. Vision is there from Nov 2017 to April 18. We are booked on b3b on Vision January 2018. Thorben-Hendrik Posted May 1, 2017 #34 Share Posted May 1, 2017 I am trying to understand at which point Mariner goes into drydock? Will she go into drydock in Asia before the Odysse or in the Bahamas?
Lisette325 Posted May 1, 2017 #35 Share Posted May 1, 2017 Here is more info from a formal press release http://m.royalcaribbeanpresscenter.com/press-release/1318/royal-caribbean-introduces-new-adventures-from-the-gulf-coast-with-the-addition-of-two-ships-in-the-region-in-2018/ Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Biker19 Posted May 1, 2017 #36 Share Posted May 1, 2017 Looks like I was right about the dry dock happening after arrival in Miami and lasting about 5 weeks. Not sure what will happen at the Aisian end where there's some unscheduled time.
Topo Gigio Posted May 1, 2017 #37 Share Posted May 1, 2017 2 RCI ships in Galveston? Liberty already has some of the lowest rates - is she moving? Most probably the onboard spendings compensate the lower fares.
internetwhiz Posted May 2, 2017 #38 Share Posted May 2, 2017 Who booked? It's 2018, though.
SadmanCruiser Posted May 2, 2017 #39 Share Posted May 2, 2017 Priced the three longer cruises on board the Rhapsody. £7000 for a promenade room seems a bit pricey for a repositioning cruise.

Blizzard54 Posted May 3, 2017 #44 Share Posted May 3, 2017 All of the prices came in a bit higher than I expected. If booking is slow, they will come down.
joandian Posted May 3, 2017 #45 Share Posted May 3, 2017 Sorry, yes I am on the Rhapsody. Also got balcony price, over £10,000 Is this for the 3 Mariner cruises? That seems a lot. All 3 with a D+ discount came in around $11,000 for a JR Suite, including travel insurance and pre-paid gratuities.
Thorben-Hendrik Posted May 3, 2017 #46 Share Posted May 3, 2017 All segments are very pricey - for a worn out Voyager-Class ship on a repo cruse!
Blizzard54 Posted May 3, 2017 #47 Share Posted May 3, 2017 All segments are very pricey - for a worn out Voyager-Class ship on a repo cruse! I am hoping for some price drops. I am also hoping that they are not planning too much drydock pre during the cruise. The drydock starts at the end of this voyage.
