lynncarol Posted May 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 6, 2017 I loved a sign posted near one of the bars in the Anchorage airport. It said, "Ladies beware! Looking for a man in Alaska? Well, the odds are good but the goods are odd".

AkSusan Posted May 11, 2017 #8 Share Posted May 11, 2017 I loved a sign posted near one of the bars in the Anchorage airport. It said, "Ladies beware! Looking for a man in Alaska? Well, the odds are good but the goods are odd". Have to agree with some of them, but, not all of them! That used to be true, but, the odds aren't as good any more, and, I agree the odds haven't always been good. The other saying was, the Odds are good, but, the Women win the Iditarod. This came about when Susan Butcher, started winning the long distance dog race from Anchorage to Nome. Susan in Anchorage!
