kirbyl Posted May 23, 2017 #5 Share Posted May 23, 2017 I drive from Charlotte to Ft Lauderdale when I cruise. I can do it in about 10-11 hours depending on traffic. I always park at the cruise port ($130 for 7 day cruise) and do self disembarking to get in the car straight away and hit the road. Costs too much to fly when I can do the drive in one day. Last cruise I disembarked and in the car by 7am and home by about 5pm. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
KGK58 Posted May 23, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted May 23, 2017 My cruise is 16+ days, so the parking price could easily reach $300. Flying might be my best option. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare Essiesmom Posted May 23, 2017 #7 Share Posted May 23, 2017 With research you might be able to find a hotel in FLL with a parking package that would cost less then either flying or parking at the port. Stay the night and board refreshed. EM

One can check web sites such as : https://www.hotelnparking.com and look for the deals. Hank

OCruisers Posted May 23, 2017 #10 Share Posted May 23, 2017 Charleston to Fort Lauderdale. Flying is my best option.Sent from my iPhone using Forums We drive from Columbia to FLL when cruising out of FLL and spend the night a couple of hours from the port going. We do drive straight back home ... about 10 hours. :)
cruzincurt Posted May 23, 2017 #11 Share Posted May 23, 2017 We always park at the port lot or garage even though it might be cheaper off site. My DW won't stand around waiting for a shuttle. We walk directly to the car and hit the road. Sent from my B3-A30 using Forums mobile app
