Rare ronrick1943 Posted June 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2017 Has anyone used a good service in Bangkok, that they would use again-airport to hotel? Thanks, Rick
Bellaggio Cruisers Posted June 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 5, 2017 I use a travel group in Vietnam for private tours all over Southeast Asia. Anntours.com. Address it to Tony, he is the owner. I do not know if he will arrange just a car service to/from the airport in Bangkok. He did arrange all our tours there. Sheila
PaulaJK Posted June 5, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 5, 2017 Most hotels have reliable car transfer service.
bonefishbruce Posted June 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 5, 2017 There's a good service in the airport between the baggage carousels and the exit. I believe the base car is a Camry and you can upgrade to something more luxurious. Just find the kiosk, pay the fare, and you're good to go. The standard metered taxi is about half the price but you'll be in a Corolla.
flossie009 Posted June 5, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 5, 2017 Agree with Paula. In Bangkok, we have always used our hotel to arrange a car transfer between the airport & hotel and/or between port & hotel (a long way). Probably not the cheapest but always excellent service and immaculate, comfortable vehicles.
Rare ronrick1943 Posted June 5, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted June 5, 2017 OK, thanks for the help. We've always used the hotel car\-but was just checking to see what others are using. Rick
Travelcat2 Posted June 5, 2017 #7 Share Posted June 5, 2017 I'm learning a lot from this thread as we have not sailed to Bangkok (but have flown into BKK several times). I understand the desire to have a nice car for the trip into Bangkok but, once in the city, these are the cars that are stuck in traffic the longest. In town, we use tuk-tuks (yes - they are small and your smell the fumes from the cars but you get to where you want to go at least 50% (possibly 75%) faster. While this may be an unusual way for a luxury traveler to get around, it give you the flavor of this magnificent (but very crowded) city.
Rare ronrick1943 Posted June 6, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted June 6, 2017 TC, I understand and I was talking about after getting off the plane. Just don't want the mess that comes with waiting for a taxi and we just like a car service to get us to the hotel. You land so late you just want to get to the hotel. And this trip doesn't have a cruise-just a little rest and food. Rick
Henk123 Posted June 6, 2017 #9 Share Posted June 6, 2017 I used last time "Oriental Escape". It was from port to airport. But everything is possible. Email questions are answered very quick.
Rare forgap Posted June 6, 2017 #10 Share Posted June 6, 2017 We used oriental escape:(https://www.orientalescape.com/thailand/transfer/reservation.php) from BKK to hotel in Bangkok. After traveling for 24 hours and arrive no in the middle of the night, they were there to greet us and transport us to the hotel. Very easy and efficient. BBWC Posted June 6, 2017 #11 Share Posted June 6, 2017 Another vote for Oriental Escape. We used them both from airport to hotel and hotel to port (Laem Chabang). Sent from my iPad using Forums
