Rare melodyesch Posted June 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2017 I am sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't for the life of me figure it out. I'm trying to book a cruise for 2019 (so I know all of the rooms are not taken). When it gets to the stateroom part, it suggests one particular cabin, but has a list to the side of about 10 cabins. I swear you used to be able to put in a particular cabin but I don't see how to do that. Or should I just book the recommended cabin and then call to be moved? Thanks! triptolemus Posted June 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2017 Used to be able to.... not anymore. Once upon a time it had a box that said "...or search for a specific stateroom number" or similar. Just call 'em up.
Mcdonaldbam Posted June 19, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 19, 2017 I think the list is all the available stateroom for the category you selected.
triptolemus Posted June 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2017 I think the list is all the available stateroom for the category you selected. No. It only shows around 10 or 15 max when there may be dozens and dozens available in a category.
deliver42 Posted June 19, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 19, 2017 If you know what cabin or location you want, call NCL, and the rep can tell you what's available. I've done that with no problem.
Tiggertastic Posted June 19, 2017 #6 Share Posted June 19, 2017 Ring ncl, we had this issue and I said where I wanted to be such as mid ship, or near staircase etc and they gave me a list Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare BirdTravels Posted June 19, 2017 #7 Share Posted June 19, 2017 I think the list is all the available stateroom for the category you selected. Incorrect. It lists the "best" rooms in the cabin class. You need to call and talk to a reservation agent or TA to see if the exact room you are looking for is available. An example is that we like rooms near the elevator (especially on the megaships where their are only elevators forward and aft). The system will chose rooms far from the elevators because it considers rooms closer to the middle of the ship "better". So,,, we never use the online system to select rooms.
