Last I heard it was going to be Dimitrios Kafezetis... lucky people , he's my favorite. Very personable with great sense of humour.

I agree. We encountered him when he was the Captain of Silhouette. We only said hello a few times in passing, but thought him personable and approachable. The talk he gave in the theatre was quite amusing, and I hope he’ll give similar talks on Edge.

I understand that the current staff will be on for the TA. There will be a Captain change following the TA. Several on the current cruise have confirmed my information. See the Roll Call for the cruise where the names are mentioned.

How are staff positions selected for each ship. Does the staff member bid for a particular ship for each time period? Who makes the final decision? Thank you for answering.

Hoping someone can answer this question. Is there anyway of finding out who the Captain's Club rep was on this year's Jan. 7 Silhouette sailing? Since she did very little to make us remember her name, would like to know where she is assigned now.

A staff member may ask for a specific ship. Celebrity makes an attempt to assigned married couples to the same ship. Captains may request specific Senior Officers and Celebrity attempts to give them"their team". Sometimes people are assigned to a ship based on languages they speak. This is driven by specific itineraries. In the end, Celebrity is responsible to staffing decisions and promotions.
