Beachiekeen Posted July 31, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2017 We are staying at the Aloft but we are using points. The East Coast departure board is very helpful.
Burrata Posted July 31, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2017 here some suggestions for hotels in the South Boston area which is close to the cruise terminal. Of the choices, the Seaport is my vote, very nice hotel! http://www.boston-discovery-guide.com/south-boston-waterfront-hotels.html The South Boston/Seaport area is a lively area, Lots of good restaurants and close to many attractions. However, you don't need to stay in that area to stay in an nice hotel, there are plenty of other choices in terms of budget and would only require a short cab ride. sharona211 Posted July 31, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2017 Just for the night before the cruise or are you planning a few days to explore Boston before you sail? Convenience to the cruise port or convenience to the sights in Boston.
JaiJaiW Posted July 31, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 31, 2017 We stayed at Aloft, $90.00/night last October. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk
Rare BostonGal35 Posted July 31, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 31, 2017 the Marriott Long Wharf is very nice. Also the Seaport although its very pricey. The hotels at the airport are easily accessible via the T (Blue Line) and often include parking packages if you need that. Copley Square has nice hotels as well (A Marriott, a Westin, Fairmont Copley Plaza). Sometimes you can also save a bit by staying across the river in Cambridge (the Hyatt often has good deals). Sand and Seas Posted July 31, 2017 #7 Share Posted July 31, 2017 Great Info! We plan to cruise out of Boston next summer and are working on the dates. What hotel would you suggest for pre-cruise in late July or August in the harbor area?
hawk/hornfan Posted July 31, 2017 #8 Share Posted July 31, 2017 We stayed at the Seaport both pre & post cruise last Oct. Yes it was pricey, but the service is excellent and no tipping is allowed. In fact we had the same room both stays. Go to priceline express deals and you can get cheaper rates if you know how to research their hotels. Caveat: Boston is not a cheap city for hotels close to downtown or to the cruise terminal.
