zedd Posted August 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2017 Does anyone if the Swim with the Stingray excursions at Grand Cayman have handicapped acessable entry to and from the water. I am somewhat handicapped with a really bad left foot, climbing up a boat ladder is probably not a good option for me. Zero entry like from a beach in or an angled ladder or ramp would be better choices for me. If not possible at Grand Cayman we will also be visiting Cozumel and Jamaica, any info from those locations about the Stingray swims will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance' Joe
bookbabe Posted August 3, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 3, 2017 Check with Marineland Tours. Their boat 'Cayman Explorer' is probably the most accessible of any of the boats I've seen out at Stingray City. http://www.marinelandtours.com/cayman_explorer_vessel.php
Rare Kellie in Texas Posted August 3, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 3, 2017 I second Marineland Tours. We were just on this excursion in late June. I have a bad knee and climbing a ladder isn't good for me, so I researched several sting ray tour companies. You can see on their link that they have basically a set of metal stairs, maybe 7 feet wide, that lowers into the water. If you're on an RCCL ship, this company is the vendor for the RCCL excursion.
