Sixtytwo Posted August 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2017 On Conquest there were several blow-up characters that were pretty neat. They also had a costume contest and a parade with everyone dressed in their costumes.
retiring soon Posted August 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 6, 2017 Hi all! Yes, this sounds pretty much like what we had on Vista . I was surprised at how many people dressed up,some pretty elaborate costumes. It was fun to see them. ~ Jo ~ :)
Towel Critter Posted August 6, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 6, 2017 We've done two Halloween cruises and both were a lot of fun. Yes, a LOT of folks dress for the occasion, some elaborately so. It's a good time to cruise for sure.
Musicguy Posted August 7, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 7, 2017 On the Halloween cruise that I took, they had a party on the Lido Deck. I also saw some folks dressed in costume for dinner. It was a lot of fun. Adults can be really creative.

beeg Posted August 7, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 7, 2017 There will be special "spooky " desserts in the MDR, on 2 of the 3 Halloween cruises that I've been on there was a group dance lesson to Michael Jsckson's " Thriller" which everyone met at night to do en masse. Even if you don't dance it's fun to watch. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

joshd33 Posted August 7, 2017 #10 Share Posted August 7, 2017 My wife and I took a Halloween cruise on the Triumph a couple years ago and it was a blast! Tons of people dressed up and having a great time. A lot of people taking pictures with each other as well, so bring your camera!
italianmama40 Posted August 12, 2017 #11 Share Posted August 12, 2017 Will we be out of place if we don't dress up?
Ilike2cruuuz Posted August 12, 2017 #12 Share Posted August 12, 2017 I took my mom last year for her 70th birthday on the Paradise for Halloween and it was great! A lot of people dressed up. They had a costume contest and special desserts during dinner in the MDR. Since I didn't know if they allowed costumes, I bought a glow in the dark Halloween-themed shirt and some plastic masks the day before we left. Next time I will definitely have a real costume. And, yes, people do get really elaborate about their costumes. There were some really nice ones, too! I met a drunken Fred Flintstone on the elevator with a cactus juice still in hand! Lew Port Posted August 12, 2017 #13 Share Posted August 12, 2017 Will we be out of place if we don't dress up? No. On our last Halloween cruise approx 50% dressed up. Lots of fun for kids of all ages. Door decorations were numerous and colorful.
DramaQueen22 Posted August 12, 2017 #14 Share Posted August 12, 2017 We cruised on the Inspiration for Halloween. Lots of people wore costumes, and there was a contest. I don't remember anything specifically planned, but it was fun!
