linemancruiser Posted August 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2017 I've seen several post on this site where people know how many ships will be at port the day they are traveling to that port. How can I find out this information? Cruising with Carnival to Cozumel and Costa Maya in October, I'd like to know the amount of ships at port that day if possible. Thanks

Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted August 11, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 11, 2017 I find this one very easy to use: http://www.cruisemapper.com/ports-in-bahamas-and-caribbean-and-bermuda-8 Then I check out all the ships to get the capacity, so I then have a good idea of the numbers that will be ashore each day. Rare LHT28 Posted August 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2017 I just google "port of cozumel" or whatever port I am checking it usually will give the schedule with the ship's capacity so you know how busy it will be
Rare Keith1010 Posted August 11, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2017 I first star with what LHT28 said. If I can find the official port schedule that is the most accurate one to use. Don't be surprised to see a lot of ships in places such as Cozumel. During the peak season you might see five to seven ships. Keith

Krazy Kruizers Posted August 11, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 11, 2017 I use cruisetimetables and google the port itself. Nothing is 100% accurate but it does give you an idea of what to expect.

Lookingforfacts Posted August 11, 2017 #10 Share Posted August 11, 2017 The ports official site should be the most accurate. Some of the sites mention aren't as updated as they should be
zqvol Posted August 11, 2017 #11 Share Posted August 11, 2017 Costa Maya will at most have two ships. For Cozumel check cozumelinsider .com They publish a weekly cruise schedule. At Costa Maya it is not problem to go to town to the beaches, there are none near the port. It is very inexpensive to get there and back. Check the port of call board for recommended locations. In Cozumel you will have anywhere from 4 to 8 ships in port. There are many beach clubs available. Again the port of call boards is the best place to check for details about beaches, etc.
