We had the Kanesville queen in Dubuque for a while when she was bought by Newt Marine. Overall, should be a lot like the Duchess, though slightly smaller

We were told that the fourth ship, although similar in many ways to American Duchess, will be designed as a more mass-market experience with smaller cabins and a lower price point. John Waggoner said the company wants to have options that cover the gamut of possible cruisers: American Queen for steamboat enthusiasts and people who want a historic feel; American Empress for more active passengers in the Pacific Northwest; American Duchess for very affluent passengers and groups and the fourth boat that is more wallet-friendly.
