Spicey477 Posted August 16, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Hey there, I've done a search to no avail and I am packing now to leave for the Magic. My kids will surely want to do the ropes course onboard and also the one at the port at Amber Cove. Does anyone know if one must wear tennis shoes/sneakers, or would flip-flops/Crocs be ok? Thanks! kicia Posted August 16, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Must be closed toed shoes so no sandals or flip flops. We were told tennis shoes or something like boat shoes.
MarcelLucSell Posted August 16, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2017 We specifically brought tennis shows for the course. There were days / times that it wasn't open, so as soon as you see people lining up, put the shoes on and head over.
Catrin Posted August 16, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Will concur. Sneakers a must. Flips not allowed. So much fun too!! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Havingfun2010 Posted August 16, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Hey there, I've done a search to no avail and I am packing now to leave for the Magic. My kids will surely want to do the ropes course onboard and also the one at the port at Amber Cove. Does anyone know if one must wear tennis shoes/sneakers, or would flip-flops/Crocs be ok? Thanks! Why wouldn't you pack them sneakers? Wouldn't they need footwear, and not beach wear in the dining areas?
Spicey477 Posted August 16, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted August 16, 2017 I didn't have sneakers for that, I have more dressy shoes for dining. But, they aren't quite right for using for a ropes course. :) Sent from my Nexus 6P using Forums mobile app
A&Jfamily Posted August 16, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 16, 2017 My boys wear tennis shoes on board and pack their flip flops and dress shoes, because the flip flops are much smaller. Problem solved! Sent from my iPad using Forums
dmdiver Posted August 16, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Wear sneakers for the ropes course. We do as someone else posted - wear our sneakers & pack flip flops since they pack flat.
cruzeluver Posted August 16, 2017 #9 Share Posted August 16, 2017 Even if Carnival allowed them, I would think most would see that flip flops would be a poor choice for the ropes course once they see it.
mom2oneXY Posted August 16, 2017 #10 Share Posted August 16, 2017 I did see a few people wearing Keen type sandals on the Ropes course. They have to be closed toe and firmly fastened to your feet. Keens fit that. DS wore tennis shoes because it was that or crocs which were a no go.
dmdiver Posted August 16, 2017 #11 Share Posted August 16, 2017 My neighbor wears those Keen type sandals. Those would be fine. None of my sandals would work for that. I also would not wear my swimsuit - shorts help protect your legs from the harness.
Athankfulheart Posted August 17, 2017 #12 Share Posted August 17, 2017 They have also allowed us to wear water shoes. Sent from my SM-N920V using Forums mobile app
