Deptacon Posted August 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2017 (edited) Several threads on this but after several hours of forum and internet searching I have some questions which may warrant a new thread. Yes, I know the concerns with driving in Mexico....need for insurance, etc. Already aware...don't need a response being reminded by those who live their life inside the shell. Looking at renting a JEEP when arriving In January on NCL (Punta Longosta) Pier Avis has a desk there, but online AND calling they tell me no Jeeps. Now, several posts by others have reported getting Jeeps from them there. If so, how did you reserve it? I am not having any luck. If anyone has reserved a JEEP through Avis at the downtown pier before please tell me how you did it. Alamo has a location 1 block away, no Jeeps though. SolyMar is right around the corner but his Jeeps are only Manual....want automatic Thisiscozumel.com offers arranging a jeep, pier pickup... around the same price and they appear to use Fiesta ROT ISIS - Emailed them but have not received a message back. many people say they are good....but I have not heard back. Found "Less Pay" but many posts online about bad experiences. info...at...cozumel-tours.....net is the last option I found. Jeeps, Auto, Walkable from downtown Pier. Waiting on Response. blue_water Posted August 31, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2017 >> by those who live their life inside the shell << LOL...OK...guilty I suppose. ;) Question - WHY do you need a Jeep? How many people? The roads are excellent and flat. Try Margarita again at ISIS, she is normally very prompt with her replies, as long as the questions/requests are not too lengthy. nascarcruiser Posted August 31, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 31, 2017 They all take the front drive shaft for the 4wd out of the Jeep's so you can't take them off road. They may or may not tell you that. Just an fyi
