Not a bad combo.

Give me a T bone steak, pepper sauce, chips and salad anytime, like tonight,  with a few glasses of shiraz to accompany and to taste during the cooking process.  Although I do commend lyndarra for the presentation of his dish, very neat.  The sauce application is exquisite.

Don’t make friends with salad, as the kids used to sing. (think they got it off a TV show).

I detest veggies, save for the odd carrot, salad with evryfink is my thing.  On the ships we always have dinner in the MDR - traditional dining, I make a standing order with the waiters - Big salad with every main course, no problem.

A bit rude to members of parliament don’t you think. You really should say you detest them.

I like more gravy in my pies, that looks a bit dry.

Keep yer shirt front clean but, old son. But yes, a drop of Gravox would assist.

Mr Gut....a  nice potato pie for you below, looks to be more moist.

Mate, I used to visit ye old Wangi Roadhouse in the early 70's, escorting ye old wide and long loads up the Pacific Hwy, all gone now I suppose.  Big Aussie Truckies brekkie there, Steak, eggs, Chips, the full monty.

Wouldn’t be Wangi Les, Wyong maybe.

But can’t beat a truckstop for a feed.

took the kids to Tassie once, pulled in to Goulburn for the night, they asked what are we eating.

”Truck stop next door has abut 25 semis parked, that’ll do me”

daughter, then about 13 still talks about the T bone she had that night.

Aaah,  KANGY Roadhouse was the one, not Wangi.  Legendary place.  I recollect they had a separate eating area for truckies and coach drivers and us.  Double size meals.

Who remembers, many, many years ago the "Famous Boneless Fish" on the old Pacific Highway at Tuggerah? You had to be going past on a day when the owner had brought in a fresh catch as he it wasn't open all the time. No compromising on fish quality, and when it was open the punters were queued out the door.

Think I might have stopped there, back then.
