Chauncee777 Posted August 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2017 Hello! We will be sailing to Costa Maya and Cozumel on Royal Carribean Navigator of the seas. Does anyone have experience with booking their excursions on or off the ship? Do we Pre book or go to the dock and get it cheaper there? We want to do snorkeling in Cozumel and maybe the ruins in Costa Maya. Thanks!

Rare Keith1010 Posted August 24, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 24, 2017 You will find that some people book the ships excursions and others do it on their own. Keith

queenfrostine22 Posted August 25, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 25, 2017 we did the Fury Catamaran-snorkeling in Cozumel-booked through the ship-It was really a fun day! Great crew who kept the entire boat entertained. We also booked through the ship-Mayan Ruins-not Chichen Itza-too long of a drive to get there.-Chaccoben Ruins, it was interesting. many ruins to walk through and an interesting guide who just about knew it all. Was supposed to be going to the eastern caribbean but were diverted to cozumel and costa maya, so we booked these excursions on the knowledge of the Rahul the concierge. We had a great time!
Nebr.cruiser Posted August 25, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 25, 2017 We did a Mayan ruins tour with an independent operator in Costa Maya--very good and we still had some time on the beach. This year we just walked (don't recommend!) to the beach and spent some time there. We've been to Cozumel a lot. Went on a tour to Tulum once; I probably wouldn't do it again because of the ferry ride (often very rough) length and small time at the ruins. We spent the day at Paradise Beach once and enjoyed it. Also have done a dune buggy tour of the island that was lots of fun. In December we ent to Chachakanaab oh boy, I know that isn't spelled right and enjoyed the beach, seal show and other features.
