NSWP Posted September 8, 2017 #26 Share Posted September 8, 2017 I wonder if there are any passengers on it. Some of the bridgecams should be interesting. Best wishes and good luck to all those affected.

Rare MicCanberra Posted September 10, 2017 #37 Share Posted September 10, 2017 It is mayhem, at least Jose has veered north and away from the islands that have already been devastated.
Rare MicCanberra Posted September 10, 2017 #38 Share Posted September 10, 2017 It has been downgraded to Cat 2 now so that may be a lot better for the people in Florida.
Docker123 Posted September 11, 2017 #39 Share Posted September 11, 2017 From RCI on the place we are not allowed to mention: Dear Guests and Friends, At this difficult time, our thoughts are with the individuals and families affected by the devastation of Hurricane Irma. We are closely monitoring Hurricane Irma’s path and its potential impact to our current and upcoming sailings. For the most up to date information about scheduled cruises and itinerary changes, please click on the following link: http://po.st/NPEVyS In the wake of this catastrophic storm, thousands have been left in need of basic supplies, including food, water, shelter, and medical needs. In coordination with the US and local governments, we are dispatching ships for humanitarian purposes to a range of destinations in the Caribbean. We’ve also partnered with World Vision to provide relief to the communities left devastated by Irma. Kiwi_cruiser Posted September 14, 2017 Author #41 Share Posted September 14, 2017 Hello from San Francisco. We ended up not doing our cruise to Cuba, as there was a chance that we could miss our cruise to Alaska, as there was a chance we may not get back to Tampa on time. It turned out the ship was only able to dock on Wednesday, so we would have missed our flight and would have had a hard time getting another flight. So we ended up riding out the Hurricane Irma in Tampa and then the day before it was due to hit Tampa, as the Hurricane moved, we ended up doing a run for Orlando so we could get our flight here, when the Airport opened on Tuesday. Rare MicCanberra Posted September 15, 2017 #44 Share Posted September 15, 2017 Glad you got through it safely, as for Carnival, that may take a while as there are so many affected and communication is not their strong suit.

Looks like a Grand Day in SF to be on the Grand Princess. Heres a shot from from the port and bridge cam . I think that's The World at the nearer dock.
