cardamon Posted September 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2017 How did this beautiful part of the island weather the storm Irma? We had such a wonderful time there in July- I am just hoping for the best.
ransrider Posted September 10, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 10, 2017 I've heard it weathered well. Can others confirm? Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app
JuliaMS Posted October 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 6, 2017 It looks like port calls are canceled there for a while. Anybody know how it is?
RMH Posted October 6, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2017 It looks like port calls are canceled there for a while. Anybody know how it is? The ships that cancelled Labadee had itineries that included St Maartin and San Juan, so I think those were the ports that forced the cancellation. Other ships that do not visit St Maartin and San Juan are still going to Labadee including Allure on 10 Oct, Harmony on 16 Oct, and Oasis on 25 Oct and 31 Oct. According to an article in the Caymen iNews site: "Labadee, Haiti: Labadee remains open and received no damage."

Rare Lionesss Posted October 15, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 15, 2017 I was there last week. Looked great. Didn’t notice any damage. Sent from my iPhone using Forums When we were there in August we were told that soon, new construction would start to develop more of the area for cruisers. Did you see any new "ground breaking" areas? Thanks

Did you see any new "ground breaking" areas? Thanks No. We did spend all our time at Columbus Cove and didn’t do much exploring though. goncruzn Posted October 18, 2017 #8 Share Posted October 18, 2017 I'm guessing everything there is ok. I've been told the beach cabanas are open and available for renting so I'm in the process of reserving one now for next Wednesday while on Oasis. BND Posted October 31, 2017 #10 Share Posted October 31, 2017 We were there Oct 25th and again today. No problems at all. I didn't go look at the cabanas specificially, but the port looks great. We rented a "lounger for two" clamshell and boy was it worth it. Just got back onboard.
