Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2017 Does anybody know what side the Oasis faces to the island, port or starboard, or does she dock in the middle of two piers where we be looking onto ships on both sides? arm72 Posted October 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 2, 2017 Starboard, I think. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Biker19 Posted October 2, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 2, 2017 I don't think there's a set pattern - it could depend on Captain and other ships in port.

Desert Cruizers Posted October 2, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 2, 2017 Our one and only visit to Cozumel for us, it didn't matter. We seem to always book Port side but no guarantees which way the ship docks. if I wish to photograph something i walk over to that side.

Rare BillOh Posted October 2, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 2, 2017 If you broaden the question to Oasis class ships, I've seen about 7 dockings in person or recent photos and each time the starboard side was toward port, but its not a guarantee, but it looks most likely. Starboard. Was just there on Oasis last week.
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 2, 2017 Author #11 Share Posted October 2, 2017 For those who truly answered my question without a joke or sarcasm, I truly appreciate it. I do know there will be two carnival ships, one msc ship and two RC the other being the Libery of the Seas...upon looking at the times they will arrive in Cozumel, both the Oasis and the LOS will be docking earlier than the other ships. Clarea Posted October 2, 2017 #12 Share Posted October 2, 2017 Starboard is the preferred side to dock, however it does not happen all the time.

It's only the Oasis and Liberty docking at the international pier. The 2 carnival ships will dock at Puerta Maya. The Norwegian and the MSC ships will dock at Punta Langosta. Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 2, 2017 Author #14 Share Posted October 2, 2017 Thank you thought they all docked at same pier...I happen to be facing port side this time, and the only time I use the balcony is when we are docked as I like to people watch back and fourth onto the ship, so hoping its starboard side, guess I find out lol. thank you. jamesr3939 Posted October 3, 2017 #18 Share Posted October 3, 2017 Both times for us it was Starboard. Yes, we did have ships between us and the pier. But the Oasis is tall enough you pretty much see over everybody else.
Merion_Mom Posted October 3, 2017 #19 Share Posted October 3, 2017 Virtually every time that I can recall, she docked with the starboard side facing land.

Anniversaryfortwo Posted October 3, 2017 #21 Share Posted October 3, 2017 We were docked port side to dock on 9/22/17. I have tried to attach a photo of us walking back to board and a photo of two Carnival ships that you could see from starboard balconies.
