JMAE Posted October 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 6, 2017 Haven't been on the Vista but I can tell you as you move from the center point of the ship you are more likely to feel the rolling of the ship.
SadieN Posted October 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 6, 2017 The higher you go, the more movement you’ll feel. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Sixtytwo Posted October 6, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2017 I would go for it if the cost is reasonable! Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 6, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 6, 2017 Although I never would take the first two decks, the problem I see with the deck 11 and you said middle, didn't mention a cabin number, I would think you have a good chance of that water works above you, I would not take that one. haybella1316 Posted October 6, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 6, 2017 I don't see why I would make the switch You'll have the least motion where you are currently if that's a concern Otherwise, I don't think this is an upgrade unless it's free Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Drazil65 Posted October 6, 2017 #10 Share Posted October 6, 2017 I would switch for sure...not a fan of the bottom decks of the ship from what we hear...we stay deck 7 (most balcony cabins higher decks) and above and never had any issues with motion (DH motion sick prone but wears patch)....have had several friends tell us that they hear a lot of loud mechanical type (they said loud booms, heavy things moving or dropping etc) noise during night or early morning (like 4:00 AM)...so maybe if staying on lower decks stay where you will not be disturbed by the ship operations? surfjock27 Posted October 6, 2017 #12 Share Posted October 6, 2017 I was middle 10 on the Vista in December and I liked the location because it was close to most things, but disliked it because it was very busy around our cabin and you could definitely hear it. Also, lots of noise from IMAX late at night. Literally, our walls would shake at 1am from it. I’m not sure if being one deck higher, on 11, would make a difference? Cruiseman38 Posted October 6, 2017 #14 Share Posted October 6, 2017 I like the lower floors, less movement the lower you go. I wouldn't move, but that is just me.

woodman Posted October 6, 2017 #17 Share Posted October 6, 2017 :D Love deck 1 and 2 close to the water. Had balconies on upper floors and never enjoyed them so we always book on 1 or 2 aft close to the elevators. I would stay put.
