WendyCity11 Posted November 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2017 In Le Bistro, they offer a 3 oz tasting glass of Veuve Clicquot on the menu. Are you allowed to keep ordering these, or do you only get to try one?

Rare KeithJenner Posted November 10, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 10, 2017 They are on sale and therefore you can buy as many as you want. The reference to a taster glass is really just letting you know that it’s a small glass. They are apparently not included in the UBP, by the way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk That's correct, they get added to the bill. I forgot about that, but I did spoil my niece one night since it's her favorite and the rest of us weren't interested to get a bottle. :)
WendyCity11 Posted November 10, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted November 10, 2017 Thank you all for the responses. I did not know they were not covered under the UBP. It is one of my favorite too, so I will be doing little spoiling on myself. :)

tmilak Posted November 10, 2017 #7 Share Posted November 10, 2017 I just brought my own from home ($45/bottle) and paid the corkage fee of $15.00. Still way less than the $95.00 plus 18% gratuity. Will be doing it again for my NYE cruise this year.
Twinzma Posted November 10, 2017 #8 Share Posted November 10, 2017 Well that stinks it's not covered and at $95 a bottle the can keep it! Long ago it used to be a little known secret the quality you had for a $20 a bottle. Gone are those days with good pricing! If you really like it that much OP you still are coming out ahead by buying the bottle at home and paying corkage fee. I have bought a bottle of Perrier Jouet for our upcoming cruise. The more expensive the bottle the more sense it is paying a corkage fee. I would not pay corkage for a bottle of Andres but then again I would never drink it.;p Price your bottle, add in corkage fee. Then find the bottle on NCL wine list and deduct 25% if you have UBP. Which works better and are you willing to pay that much?
Rare POA1 Posted November 10, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 10, 2017 In Le Bistro, they offer a 3 oz tasting glass of Veuve Clicquot on the menu. Are you allowed to keep ordering these, or do you only get to try one? We couldn't get any on the Escape last month. The explanation is that the 3 oz tasting is not a glass and the UBP covers up to $15 per glass. I asked how they served it if not in a glass. There are other wines on the list priced at half glasses. They'll let you order those no problem. It's the Champagne that's excluded.
TifffanyD Posted November 10, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 10, 2017 We were going to order the taster glass once and just pay, but the server told us that we could get the full size glass and just pay the difference between what UBP covers and the price (which made it cheaper than the taster). Beachiekeen Posted November 10, 2017 #11 Share Posted November 10, 2017 I bought a full sized glass at Cellars on the Dawn and paid the $8 difference. It wasn’t worth it though since the bottle had been open already so it didn’t taste like it should have. I should have asked before I got it. DianeCcruiser Posted November 10, 2017 #12 Share Posted November 10, 2017 We brought a bottle of Dom Perignon on board to celebrate our anniversary one year. We paid the $15 corsage fee. Took it to the Le Bistro ahead of time and they served it to us with our meal. Diane
