tchelle73 Posted November 28, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2017 I need opinions on the sofa bed mattress... Are they hard? Flimsy? Too soft?
bury me at sea Posted November 28, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 28, 2017 I slept on one on the Magic a few years ago. Definitely not flimsy. It wasn't hard, but it was firm. It wasn't as comfortable as the beds but was ok for a week.
RWolver672 Posted November 28, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 28, 2017 Think of them as being more of a sofa. All they do is take the bolster pillows off of the back and make it up as a bed. All of the ones we've had have some kind of vinyl covering on them. Our son who is over 6 feet tall and well over 300 lbs slept on it and said it was comfortable. planmaker Posted November 28, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 28, 2017 The firmness is less of an issue than the length I think. I’m 5’7” and slept perfectly well on it. My son is 6’2” and complained about being a little crowded. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
annlouisem Posted November 28, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 28, 2017 I found it really comfortable, I have a memory foam mattress and it was a similar firmness to that, neither too firm nor too soft. Was worried I wouldn't sleep well on it but in fact I slept amazingly all week which never usually happens when I'm away from home Sent from my EVA-L09 using Forums mobile app
tvlworm Posted December 1, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 1, 2017 I was just about to start a new thread with this same question. We (2 adults, 14yr old and 12yr old) are sailing on Glory in March and our room has the two twin beds and a full size sofa sleeper. Not the usual couch that they turn into a bed with the pull down bunk, but a normal sofa sleeper. I’m debating about changing rooms because either I’m going to hear the 12/14 yr olds arguing about sharing a bed or most likely I’m going to be stuck sleeping on the sofa sleeper with one of them. If it’s anything like a hotel pullout bed, they are not usually comfortable and I’m not sure that’s exactly how I want to spend my vacation lol! Has anyone slept on one of these to share his comfortable or not they were/are? Thanks!
kitten816 Posted December 1, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 1, 2017 My friend who's 6'2 300 pounds slept fine, I tested it and thought it was a comfortable firm bed.
