Lady Hudson Posted November 29, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2017 Leaving on Grandeur tomorrow but a bit later due to illness on the ship and intense cleaning to occur. How are you all doing? Hope heno one has gotten really, really sick. Not a good way to end a cruise. Katherine
Defender1158 Posted November 29, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2017 On Grandeur now, no one in our extended group of contacts has been affected. There have been announcements and cabin letters, and the crew is constantly wiping down almost every exposed surface. We are avoiding the Windjammer. The cruise has been fantastic for us. Lady Hudson Posted November 29, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted November 29, 2017 That is good to hear. A few years back we did a Grandeur B2B where there was a lot of noro for several weeks. CDC was onboard for the last part of our trip. We did not get sick - did a lot of hand washing. Glad to hear that you and your group are ok. Thanks for responding. diamondplusnj Posted December 9, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 9, 2017 My wife and I were on Grandeur for the Nov. 30th to Dec. 9th cruise. We did not experience any health issues.
CruiseAddict8354 Posted December 10, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 10, 2017 We sailed Nov. 18 on a 12-night sailing, and had three "Alpha" drills, including one before we had even had the muster drill. Over the course of the trip we had to evacuate two passengers (two separate incidents). One time an ambulance was waiting for us when we docked, and the other time we made an unscheduled, 1:00 a.m. arrival in St. Thomas to put ashore an elderly male and his wife + luggage. Prayers! If any of those passengers are on Cruise Critic, we'd love an update...hope everyone's OK now.
shippmates Posted December 11, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 11, 2017 We were on the Grandeur Nov 18 - Nov 30. There were a few cases of Noro while we were on board. The crew was cleaning all the time, they had crew at the entrances to the dining areas squirting you as you entered the venue. We were lucky and no one from our group got sick. Hope everyone stays healthy and get the ship cleaned. Have a great cruise.

It has not moved all day (12/23/2018) Cruisemapper is broke, I think. ********** has it in St. Thomas (**********). Another did, too, but I forget which one.
