Nothing but great things to say about this company and their services. We used them for four tours recently and they were wonderful! Small groups, Mercede vans and great drivers/tour guides: highly recommend.

On 10 May 2019, my wife and I decided to take the small group (8 people) Classic Amalfi Coast Tour offered by ItalyTours EU out of the port of Salerno, Italy.

Could you provide more details about your tour, like which towns you visited, how much time in each town, how many photo opps along the way, etc.

Thanks

I have them booked for the same four tours (although still waiting on 2 more to get our minimum # of participants for Florence).  Just hoping we make it to Positano on the Pompeii tour. I am half tempted to switch to and try a get enough people to book the Amalfi Coast tour bc I really want to see more of Positano than just from the viewpoint from above. Thanks for your post!

We too are two short for our Florence tour. Going to have to find an alternative company I think :(

Just finished two tours with Italy tours during our May 19th Oasis of the seas cruise.

We did a semi-private Florence/Pisa tour and a private Pompeii, Sorrento, Positano , Amalfi Coast

tour.  Don't remember the driver's name for Florence/Pisa as he was not very engaging.  The

tour guide for Florence was Laura and she was great.  She showed us so much and made good

recommendations throughout the tour. Pisa was a drop off and tour on your own.  Not

the greatest place but we wanted to try it and see the tower up close.  Very crowded and a bunch of cheesy gift places in the rear of the site.

Our driver for the Pompeii and Amalfi coast was Ceasar.  Very good and informative.  The Pompeii guide was Margarite.  With 2 hours in Pompeii she was very knowledgeable and knew how to navigate the

crowds. The rest of the tour consisted of photo stops along the Amalfi coast, a stop in Positano

to shop and basically roam around on your own, a stop in Sorrento for lunch and walking the

streets on your own.  Very easy.  Meeting times and places were designated for each stop and there was

no problem finding the driver.

For both tours, drivers were on time and got us back to the ports in plenty of time.

Highly recommend Italy tours and will use them again.

Hi,  has anyone had issues buying coliseum tickets with the time slot given?  We were supposed to purchase 9:35-9:45 time slot but the web site said nothing available so I had to buy the 9:50.. hope this will not be a problem.  Did anyone else have this issue?

also,  do they send tickets?  I got two emails but they are in Italian and have no idea what they say.

Thanks!

We used Google Translate. If you're unable to do it on PC get app on phone. Scan the document to English.

We were on a Viking cruise and just used Italytours.eu last week for a tour of the Amalfi coast.  Luca was our driver and guide and he did a terrific job.  We visited Portofino, Amalfi and Ravello.  Even though it was early in the tourist season traffic was heavy.  Luca was able to time our arrivals and departures to maximize our time in each town allowing us to return to the ship with time to spare.   I'll definitely use italytours.eu again when we return to the area.

For the Amalfi Coast tour, did you have much time out of the vehicle?  Are you just riding all day?

Thanks for the reminder on this...Last time i looked, a month ago, they didn't have tickets on sale for August yet. Today I looked, and they are all sold out for all time slots. I emailed ItalyTours to see if that means we're out of luck seeing it....terribly upset as I set up reminders to check back to buy tickets - guess the reminder was too late. I really wanted to see the Colosseum.

We used Italy tour sharing. Driver recommended go to Positano first to avoid traffic. It was correct call. We had over an hour to shop, eat, or wander down to beach. He also asked if anyone was interested in stopping at Limoncello Factory. It was on the route but no one wanted to. Its quite a ride with spectacular views. There was a couple of scenic stops on route. Hope this helps.

The Pompeii, Sorrento & Amalfi Coast tour that italytours EU arranged for us was excellent, far better than we would have done with a ship's tour that would have cost considerably more.
Our guide, Gabriella was an absolute delight, warm and friendly, not only having great knowledge, but she delivered her knowledge with such enthusiasm and passion about Italy that you wanted to listen to what she had to say, not like a lot of other dull and boring tour guides.  She is a real asset to your company. Margherita the guide you arranged for our visit to Pompeii was equally knowledgeable and friendly.

Your driver, Pietro should also be commended for his ability to safely navigate the hectic Easter traffic around the various tourist points of interest that we visited.

Should we get the opportunity to return to Italy, we will definitely book our tours with your company again.

We just got back from a wonderful tour of Italy.  In Florence, we chose Italy Tours for a guided tour of Pisa & Florence with Skip the line tour of Academia.  We were 7 of us; along with our  English speaking driver Maximo, & our expert tour guide, Beatrice, who joined the tour in Florence.  We are so glad that we chose Italy Tours for our day in Florence!

Maximo is the best.  We started our tour at the port of Livorno.  Maximo was waiting for us right as we got off the ship. He drove us straight to Pisa; he drove the van right up to the gates of the complex.  As a result we didn’t have to walk much at all!  We heard from others who had taken the other tours, that they had to walk a lot, not us! Thanks to strategic planning on the part of the tour company, we wasted no time throughout the day. Maximo is polite, kind & considerate.  He is very knowledgeable, & shares his knowledge.  He is a very safe & skillful driver.  And even more positive accolades!  He made our trip very enjoyable!  I hope when we are in Florence next time, we will be assigned the same driver.

And, now about our tour guide, Beatrice or B.  She was great!  She spoke perfect English, she was very easy to understand.  She was personable, charming, & knowledgeable.  We met up with her in Florence, & she took us on a walking tour of Florence, ending up at Academia.  She kept our group engaged, & interested.  She told us lots of stories about Florence.  It was amazing, the amount we covered in one day!  If I could change one thing about our day, I would say we should have gone to Academia & David soon after we reached Florence, & not towards the end of the day; because we were tired & famished by the time we reached Academia.  Though David did not disappoint, he was spectacular!  We are so glad we got to see the original, as well as two copies.  Every step in Florence, we turned around & saw something interesting, something unforgettable!  We shopped for leather bags, we tried amazing  street food, we talked to the locals.  We packed in so much into a fun filled day that will not soon be forgotten.  Big shout out to ItalyTours, Maximo & Beatrice!

I would recommend ItalyTours without any hesitation at all.  I hope to contact them on my next trip!  Five Stars!!

May 2018: We used ItalyTours.EU for the Amalfi Coast and Best of Rome and I couldn't be happier with this company. We always felt safe, they were quick to respond to all my questions and concerns, the guides and drivers were terrific and truly wanted us to see as much as possible...suggesting places to visit on our free time and places to eat. Very accommodating. Guisepee our guide was a blast, very knowledgeable and he sings awesome Italian love songs. This company may not be the cheapest but you get what you pay for....they were a lot cheaper than cruise line prices and much more personal service. There were cheaper guys holding signs for tours but why take the chance of not getting back on time, unsafe vehicles and less than stellar "service"....ItalyTours.EU will forever be my go to excursion specialists!!

We just went on 5 tours with Italy Tours

( Marseille, French Riveria, Pompeii/Amafi coast,  Sicily -Cefalù and Rome). All were excellent. An unbelievable value for the money. Most tours were 8 hours long compared to the much shorter and crowded ship tours. Guides were knowledgeable, helpful and responsive to all questions. They promptly got us back to the ship on time. We were able to enjoy the tours in small groups and made some wonderful friendships as a result. Chicco and Cristina were great at communicating beforehand answering all emails promptly. Do not hesitate to use Italy tours!

I booked an excursion with Italy Tours from the port of Naples. I would definitely recommend them.

The sign that he held was very clear since it had the names of all the people on the tour on it, that was really nice, so no doubt that it was the tour I was on.

I was on the tour Pompeii, Sorrento and Amalfi Coast. think the tour was really great. First we visited Pompeii where a very good and friendly guide (Marianne) showed us around and told us a lot of the history of Pompeii.

Then we drove to Sorrento, where Salvatore was very clear in the time and the place where we had to meet after some free time there.

The drive to the Amalfi Coast was great as well.

Salvatore was friendly, competent and a good driver. It was great to have him drive us around this beautiful part of Italy!

I had a lovely day and I am glad that I choose Italy Tours. I will remember this company and if I hear that people are looking for a company to take tours in Italy, I will definitely tell them this name.

Italy Tours (ItalyTours.eu) did a great job shepherding us through Rome and an amazing number of attractions in a day. We needed an accessible van and our very personable driver Valerio did a wonderful job helping with the access we needed. The van was very comfortable and got us very close to all the attractions!  Our expert Vatican guide Fiorella was marvelous and a source of amazing information!  They picked us up at our hotel (post cruise) and it couldn't have been a better experience.

I was in a different van for our group for Pompeii, Sorrento & Amalfi Coast with Italytours EU in May ... but ours was equally good.  We had a great driver who was quite personable.    He took us to Pompeii and hooked us up with our expert guide through the ruins.  She really knew a lot and made it most educational, fun, interesting.  She gave us time for pictures.  I didn't feel rushed.  I really enjoyed it.

When we got back to our driver he gave us plenty of time for restroom calls before beginning the Amalfi Coast drive to Sorrento.  He was very informative.   He had a stop for us to get snacks and take pictures.   In Sorrento he told us a great place he said he dined at .... and some of us dined there (and so did he).   He took us to the lemon grove ... and then on the way back to the Lemonchello factory.

I can highly recommend them.   I will use them again next time.

We booked two shore excursions with Italy Tours.EU and both were fantastic. From the Port of Livorno we did the Pisa/Florence tour with skip-the-line tickets to see The David. Our driver was absolutely wonderful - picked us up right on time and had an informational video about the history of Florence and the area for us to watch on our hour long ride. Once in Florence we met our guide Pia who immediately took us into the Museum to see the stunning David and give us lots of great information. Afterwards we took a walking tour of this amazing city. After some free time to shop and have lunch me met our driver and he whisked us off to Pisa where we had time to see the Leaning Tower. He was so helpful and got us back to our ship in plenty of time.
From the Port of Naples we did the Classic Amalfi Coast tour which took us to the towns of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Once again our driver/guide was great. Very knowledgeable and a great driver on the curvy, narrow streets that wind up the mountains! He gave us great information about the towns and direction on when and where to meet up after each stop. Once again we were delivered back to our ship in plenty of time. These tours were so much better (and less expensive) than anything offered by the cruise line. Highly reccomend!

Forgive me if this has been asked before, but i didn't see it.  Our cruise is not until next summer, at what point should i think about booking? It might be just 2 of us, will the company add people in from our cruise or do we need to find more before we book? The reviews here are so good, we might use them for our 3 ports in Italy!

You can email them and be the first person to start a shared tour. I started 4 shared tours about 10 months out from the cruise. No one started joining until about a month ago (about 90 days before sailing). Now, three of them have enough to run the tour (they need a minimum of I think 6-8 people).  You don't pay anything until they have enough people to run the tour and then you can just pay a deposit or the entire balance.

We used ItalyTours.EU  in Naples on May 19, 2019 . There was thirteen of us on the " Pompeii, Sorrento, & the Almalfi Coast " tour.

We had an awesome tour. Our driver/guide Giuseppe was extremely knowledgeable about the Sorrento / Almalfi coast. A very personable fellow; had us laughing frequently. We were well taken care of both by him & his assistant Vanna.  In Sorrento we joined them at Giuseppe's favorite restaurant " Pizzeria Aurora" for lunch , near Piazza T. Tasso ; then we were directed to the nearby shopping promenade along Corso Italia . Limoncello anyone !!

The cliff road running from Sorrento to Positina has breath taking scenic views. Driving along that road is an unforgettable experience . But the view of Sorrento from the cliff road is worth the drive.

Our Pompeii tour guide Sabina was also extremely knowledgeable . We had been there in 2010 & on this tour we saw  sites that were totally different from our previous trip . Sabina was great for guiding the group into little cubbyholes, away from the noise & congestion of other tour groups, to explain items of interest. I can now tell the difference between the doorway of a house + a shop , and which shops were rentals & which ones where the shop owner lived behind / above his shop.

We will book with  ItalyTours.eu  again on our next visit to Italy.

I am interested in seeing the Amalfi Coast. I am considering The Classic Amalfi vs the tour that goes to Pompeii as well. I believe the difference is you go to Revello on the Classic Amalfi. I assume you have longer at stops if you by pass Pompeii. Do you have long enough on the Amalfi Coast even going to Pompeii? Is Revello a good trade of Pompeii? Thanks
