Clampram Posted December 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2017 On our last cruise, we made a reservation for the Crab Shack in the morning of the day it was to be offered. Went to the area at dinner time and they said........."no Crab Shack we did it last nite!!" This time, I want to be sure to find the darn thing. We are on both the Crown and the Regal in January. Any ideas of which nite might be right??? TIA
Steelers36 Posted December 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 8, 2017 No way to know. Won't be on a formal night. Ask a Head Waiter in the Horizon or for your dining table. Watch for a sign board in the Horizon area and the Patters.

Wishing on a star Posted December 8, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 8, 2017 First, I would not wait for the morning-of.... On some ships, this can fill up. (Did on the Coral) This should be on the schedule well before the day-of. Also, the Crab Shack can be on a formal night. I am thinking I have seen it on the second formal night on the Regal. And, this was also the lobster-seafood night in the MDR. I was wanting to do the Crab Shack, but it is sometimes getting mixed reviews, so I would choose the MDR on lobster/seafood night over paying extra for the Crab Shack. (I don't mind making an effort to at least 'pass' for formal!!!)

nukesubsailor Posted December 8, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 8, 2017 On embarkation day call the Dine line to make the Crab Shack reservation. They will know which nights it is to be held.
Steelers36 Posted December 8, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 8, 2017 Oh .. I didn't think they did it on a formal night. Stand corrected. Hey, I should know that anything can happen on Princess and any "rule" is never a rule on all ships all the time.
Rare Woobstr112G Posted December 8, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 8, 2017 Definitely pre-schedule on the Dine line. If you wait to see it in the Patters, it might already be filled up.....:):):) Bob

This will be a 10 day cruise to Alaska will they do the Crab shack only once or do you think they might do it twice?
