fmotya Posted December 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 25, 2017 We are taking a Royal Caribbean Bahamas cruise from Bayonne, NJ which will call at Port Canaveral on Monday February 12. Our current (pending) itinerary is to rent a car, drive to the Kennedy Space Center, then to Midway for an airboat ride of the swamp, and later stop at Manatee Sanctuary Park on the way back for a nice sunset. Questions below: 1. Is this a feasible itinerary? Does it make sense to go to the Space Center for just a few hours? 2. Are there ways to buy tickets to any of these attractions at discounted prices? (I gather that the park is free). 3. Do tickets for the airboat tour need to be purchased in advance? If not, are there any benefits in doing so? 4. The Airboat Company says on its websites that it can offer discounts for large groups. If anyone is there that day and is interested in sharing a tour, please let me know. Thank you for all of your responses.
afmomma Posted December 25, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 25, 2017 Hello the space center tour is easily a all day event there is so much to see... lines can get pretty long. The drive from the port to Ksc is easily a 15-20minute drive maybe a little longer if draw bridges are up.. driving to airboat ride probably will take the same amount of time As far as discount tickets for both places check groupon in Brevard County they run specials all the time..
