LuckyCop Posted December 30, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2017 Hello, We are trying to decide between Melia, Blue Lagoon, and now Baha Mar. I read that Baha Mar doesn't offer day passes, but you can rent a room for the day. Our ship will be there 10-5. We don't want to do a ship excursion. Have two kids 6 and 8 - looking for calm ocean water, nice pool and a relaxing time. What do you recommend between these three options? We did Melia when it was Sheraton and enjoyed it a few years ago. TIA!
mjkacmom Posted December 30, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2017 I’ve only been to the Melia, Blue Lagoon doesn’t have a pool, I have priced out Baha Mar (looks amazing), but a room with fees is over $350.
BNBR Posted December 31, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2017 We got a room at Baha Mar next year for around $225 with fees. Probably just depends on time of year. If you want the best beach/pool, it'll be Baha Mar by a long shot. Especially their blue hole pool with the jumping rocks and cave with shark tank. I imagine your kids would go nuts there. Melia will be less spectacular but it's the same beach and still very nice pools - and cheaper. Blue Lagoon has no pools. The beaches should be calm at all 3 locations you asked about. We are sailing in September Sent from my iPhone using Forums October. It's off season I guess. Its about the same price as taking 4 on an excursion. And you don't have to do the whole wristband, meeting on the pier, etc. Etc.

LuckyCop Posted January 14, 2018 Author #9 Share Posted January 14, 2018 I am hoping they will let us check in early! Our ship docks at 8 or 9 am. We won't need the actual room we reserve, just the key card. Has anyone done this and have feedback, information, etc?
