RonLevittown Posted January 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2018 Carnival shows the Pride due for DryDock in 2019. However, on another site a lot of people are saying she is going in for DryDock in March of this year. Can anyone verify either way?

JaniceB Posted February 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 8, 2018 Do you know what will be done to her in the dry dock?
teddybear231 Posted June 14, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 14, 2018 When was her last dry dock?
crookedhalo Posted June 15, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 15, 2018 That short a dry dock, it's going to be mostly mechanical and sprucing up. Probably no major changes. Ships have to go in every 5 years for a tune up basically. She had her last dry dock in 2014, so she's right on schedule. But who knows - they may surprise us ;)
Krazyhardrocker Posted June 15, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 15, 2018 Do you know what will be done to her in the dry dock? According to Carnival, they will be removing the French doors from the 4K cabins and replacing them with windows, as they have been doing with the Spirit Class ships when they go into dry dock (however, I heard that the Carnival Spirit was spared because the windows arrived to late to install during her recent dry dock). From now on, she must do it twice in 5 years, so about every 2.5 years (there is a grace window). This happens when a ship turns 15 years old. John Reid Posted June 15, 2018 #9 Share Posted June 15, 2018 Well, last time they put a leaf on David's naughty bits. The nipples in the elevators may be next! Actually, great additions were made last time. Guy's, Blue Iguana, changing the awful Starry Night cigar den into the Red Frog.
JMAE Posted June 17, 2018 #10 Share Posted June 17, 2018 It will be interesting to see what they plan on do to the Pride and other Spirit class of ships during the dry dock. I hope they address some things in the staterooms, like USB, all flat screens for all staterooms, etc. Maybe future Pride cruises can ask during the CD or VIFP Q&A gatherings.
