Bella O Posted January 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2018 so if the published time to be in port is 5pm what time do we need to be back on board - 1 hour before? As late as 4:30? My dh and I are remembering different things from past cruises...
Rare KeithJenner Posted January 14, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2018 It is usually 30 minutes before, but it’s always worth checking the freestyle daily or the times posted at the gangway just to confirm. Always consult your freestyle daily and the signs in the gangway as you leave.
Bella O Posted January 15, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Appreciate your responses! Trying to determine whether we can do a tour, and this really helps.
SouthLyonCruiser Posted January 15, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 15, 2018 We are always back one hour before departure. We don't want to see a video on utube with us starring as pier runners. It may be amusing to others but not to those who get left behind. It would be a very expensive late fee.
roger001 Posted January 15, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 15, 2018 On an NCL tour, doesn't matter. They'll wait for you. However, a private tour I would not want one that cuts it down to just 30 minutes before departure. We always shoot for at least one hour before departure minimum . roger001 Posted January 15, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 15, 2018 A little misleading. It DOES matter. You cannot simply show up at any time because you were on an NCL excursion. Only if a delay is caused by/on the excursion will they wait. An excursion ending on time and the passenger simply taking liberties to stay in port longer will not have the ship wait. Well......yea. Of course. Guess I didn't say it specifically.
