Rare Keith1010 Posted February 1, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 1, 2018 The bigger question to me is what date are you arriving so we can see how many ships are in port that day. I would prefer a later flight though because things go wrong but please advise what date you arrive. Keith
JohninDC Posted February 1, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 1, 2018 For an 11:45 flight you need to be at FLL by about 10:15 -- and closer to 9:45 or earlier is better as FLL can be a madhouse on busy days. With the ride from POM to FLL taking 45-60+ min that translates into off the ship, with bags, and clear of customs/immigration before 9:00. If you can carry your bags off and be in a taxi/Uber/shuttle or limo before 9:00 you should be okay. Do you want to spend your cruise worried about making your flight home? I would look for a flight leaving at 1:00 or later and relax and sleep in instead of rushing off the ship. Your call! Please report back after your cruise and let us know how it worked out. :D
Rare 4cats4me Posted February 2, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 2, 2018 We disembarked the Eau8nix this past Oct and if you do walkoff you will probably be okay. Walkoffs started at 7:15 and the line was all cleared by 7:30. As long as you have a ride lined up, you can make it in an hour. Tuesday is a commute day. We were there in a Monday and the traffic to Ft Laud was very heavy. We had a prearranged ride service that picked us up and so we were able to use the commuter lane, which expedited our travels. Definitely took about 45 mins from POM to Ft Lauderdale Area. So, if everything goes swimmingly, you will be fine. If not, you are cutting it kind of close. Rare Keith1010 Posted February 2, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 2, 2018 Again, need a few more facts to answer this. Keith

BNBR Posted February 2, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 2, 2018 I'd do it with self-assist.
jdvmd Posted February 3, 2018 #10 Share Posted February 3, 2018 You should be fine. I have made flights earlier than 11:45 a.m numerous times from FLL and arriving at the Port of Miami. Would I do 8:40 a.m. ever again? Never!
Julma Posted February 4, 2018 #11 Share Posted February 4, 2018 You should be fine. Just the fact that you asked you know there is a risk of missing the flight. Figure out a plan B, in case you miss it and weigh whether it is worth the risk.
