girlsjustwannacruise Posted February 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2018 I didnt cruise last year... I know... i know...i was nuts... anyway, just got back in gear to plan this years cruise and i come back to a lot of changes it seems. 1. I dont mind the new pay after 10 room service menu but was wondering if the deli will be open any later? do i remember correctly that it normally closes at 11pm? The reason im asking is that i have 2 older kids who are very athletic and always starving. And not so much into the pizza more than one or two times a cruise. They have a tradition of having an early dinner and everyone meet back at the room for some room service sandwiches before bed. We are all night owls and are starved by 1 am, esp when eating dinner at 6. Was thinking how nice it would be if there was some other option other than that dreadful pizza or paying for a menu of mostly fried foods. Not trying to be cheap, but i would much rather spend my money in casino or excursions or shopping than on food. 2. Is the new Deli menu on the Miracle? Will it be added to all the ships? 3. I see that there is a new express breakfast that looks delish! But do they still have the seaday brunch? I sure hope so :confused::confused:

I dont mind the new pay after 10 room service menu but was wondering if the deli will be open any later? do i remember correctly that it normally closes at 11pm? Here's an idea ... order the sandwiches at 9:55pm (or whatever time before 10) and leave them in the room so you will have something good waiting for you when you guys come back in. Also, some fruit or something like that from breakfast/lunch buffets could satisfy those late night munchies. I think you are correct, the deli closes at 11pm. I seem to remember a late night snack buffet from 11-1am. We've gotten hot potato chips that were fantastic, I don't remember what else they had on that though. 2. Rare Essiesmom Posted February 5, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2018 On our recent cruises there were 'late night snacks' from 11:30p - 1:am. On Magic they were in the Lido Marketplace, on Splendor at the grill. Burgers, dogs, potato salad...EM

Just need to be a little creative! Hi If you are going the route of stocking up earlier in the day, you might as well just bring back a few deli sandwiches for each kid, as well as some fruit and cookies and whatever else they might be happy munching on. have a great cruise

Point being there are ways to circumvent "paying" for room service.
asalligo Posted February 5, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 5, 2018 Pack some plastic bags, grab bread, lunch meat , cheese from buffet put in fridge and when ready make your sandwhich. Just need to be a little creative! This is my plan for my next cruise in March. Hit the Buffet for some snacks in the evening and stash it away for later. I found that some items I really like for breakfast and lunch were only available in the evening.

Doggielover68 Posted February 6, 2018 #11 Share Posted February 6, 2018 Exactly ! Point being there are ways to circumvent "paying" for room service. Keep in mind that those mini fridges are not actual fridges, but beverage coolers. Last time, our drinks barely got below room temperature, so it might not be safe for storing food that long. It may be fine, it might not be, do so at your own risk. https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2349/kw/stateroom%20mini%20fridge/session/L3RpbWUvMTUxNzkyODkzMy9zaWQvZlVFZVRhdjFpc3ZTekxsWE1xVUNCSzgxVmdoZW5YTmtMZUtSR2ZaY3VUazRHNnpsQmtSR0ZocmhBel9MU0l3QVpLRGdzZmNydXl4aUdmbWNmbGlWYzVKaHVuRGM1blVMSDRtaFczMDZyV3V1d0dQRXo3RXNBTFhnJTIxJTIx Sent from my iPad using Forums
