toxicfairy Posted February 7, 2018 #26 Share Posted February 7, 2018 Does anyone still wear dresses on a US based cruise ship? Couldn't be many. Sent from my SM-N950U using Forums mobile app Yes. I do not bring a single pair of slacks. I wear shorts in the day and in the evening i wear a cocktail dress or evening gown. Castaway11 Posted February 7, 2018 #27 Share Posted February 7, 2018 I really, really enjoyed the MSC Seaside on a 7 Day Western Caribbean Cruise. I loved every aspect, especially the food. There was so much to love. I would love to answer any questions that you have. Glad to hear that you had such a great time. We are sailing this itinerary next week and are very encouraged by this review.

COCruiser2 Posted August 1, 2018 #29 Share Posted August 1, 2018 I saw on another post that you'd used MSC several times. This will be our first with them (Seaside, Western Caribbean) in anticipation of maybe booking them for a bigger Northern Europe if we like them. My question is, have you done any of their Northern Europe ones and how do you think they compare to the Western Caribbean one? Like you, we're flexible and know that it's on us to make it work too. So a little foreknowledge will help me to compare.

Like you, we're flexible and know that it's on us to make it work too. So a little foreknowledge will help me to compare. We have done Northern Europe last September (Hamburg, Le Havre, Southampton, Zeebrugges, Amsterdam) on MSC Preziosa. We had Bella booking but were assigned a Fantasia balcony cabin. My only regret was the weather. It was cooler when we were there and it was raining in a couple of ports. And also, we were rerouted to Rotterdam (instead of Amsterdam) because of fog. However, we still went to Amsterdam (from Rotterdam) via train. If you haven't been to London or Paris or Berlin, this itinerary will make it possible to let you see those cities. A lot of planning ahead (train tickets, etc.) is required. If you are a Titanic fan, the Titanic Museum in Southampton is a must-see. There is also a big shopping mall and IKEA near the port. justkimmiann Posted August 3, 2018 #33 Share Posted August 3, 2018 HIOn MSC Seaside Cruise Chat on Facebook someone posted that the Casino has mirrored floors and the main walk way the floor is open , of which they are stating "allows people to look up women's dresses." They also are warning people to the fact, that "the men's bathroom on the 6th floor near the theater has full mirror ceiling and wall ..so while washing your hands and glance up you can see off the ceiling to the front side of the guys urinal " which allows you to see the person relieving himself. I have never heard this mentioned.. It doesn't affect me wanting to book with the Seaside, but my best friend read it and it seems to have drawn some concerns with her desire to book. I personally think this is a bit exaggerated.. ,but could someone shed some light on this so I can alleviate her concerns? Thanks so much It's exaggerated and only a tale. The casino does have mirrored floors but they are distorted and gold and not actual reflective like a real mirror. I don't know about the men's bathroom... I guess you can use a stall or don't use that bathroom if it is really a concern.

Rare Beamafar Posted August 5, 2018 #39 Share Posted August 5, 2018 At least the OP didn't ask for help/information and then not bother to return and acknowledge the answers - something that happens frequently on here.
