setsail Posted February 13, 2018 #26 Share Posted February 13, 2018 Alas, most customer service reps have never been on a cruise so can only be expected to be right a portion of the time - which is why so many people come here with questions. Really, I can't speak for most reps, only the ones I have talked to and several have cruised. As employees they get deeply discounted cabins when they are open. topnole Posted February 14, 2018 #27 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Merion. Merion. Merion. It's where I live. Not a person's name. Merion, PA. Just outside of Philadelphia. Thank you for the compliment. 😊 Got it! Typo. 😄

bank1 Posted February 14, 2018 #29 Share Posted February 14, 2018 I asked about the golden room beside boleros and the casino showing on the deck plan for Mariner. I have been told it's A/ a diamond lounge (in addition to the other one at the top) B/ a suite only lounge C/ a VIP casino lounge Which of these is correct? If you are sailing after May 22, everything will change with the dry dock.

Sorry I should have clarified, we sail April 22 Dubai- Barcelona, the last leg before the Reno's....(I think). I got 3 different answers from RCCL.... Merion_Mom Posted February 14, 2018 #34 Share Posted February 14, 2018 I see Merion and immediately think "Kobe". Ding, ding, ding! You win. That's the right Merion. He has been very good to his alma mater, Lower Merion High School. We now have the Kobe Bryant Gymnasium. :D :D :D

I know that on the way over to Asia ("Global Odyssey"), they were working on destruction and construction during the cruise. I don't know what that means for the people on the Singapore to Barcelona cruise.

I'm thinking that with the dry dock coming so soon, they would probably not take on a major project with guests onboard. Of course, it is Royal, so who knows. I'm sure it'll be fine, and it's not that important, I was just curious why they added a second diamond lounge, or a suite lounge (concierge lounge without a concierge...)! Marion Ross just retired from acting a couple of days ago.
