Cooler on Grande Anse - Where can we buy beer?

Hi Everyone,

 

I was wondering if we are allowed to have a cooler on Grande Anse beach. We enjoy hanging out a beach bars, but would also like to have a cooler for when we are lounging on the beach. Are we allowed to have one, and if so where is the best place to get beer? We are cruising, so it is best to be close to the port, or near Gran Anse beach.

 

If not no problem, we just will have to visit the bars more :D

Also what are people's recommendations for beach bars on Grand Anse? I have heard of Coconuts and Umbrellas. We like little hole int he wall beach bars too. We also prefer it to be on the beach, not set back which I hear Umbrellas is not really beach front and has a parking lot that separates it a bit from the beach. Advice is greatly appreciated (also cheap beer is a bonus!)

When you get off the water taxi go to your right all the way to Radisson Hotel. Across the street from Radisson is a supermarket with cold beer, so grab beer there and on the way back to the beach fill your cooler with ice at one of the ice station in the hotel. We've done it few times on our cruise stops in Grenada.
