bluewatercoulpe Posted February 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2018 Would a cruise on a Princess ship add to my HAL Mariner status? We have 2 cruises on HAL and 1 on Princess. Thanks. Sent from my iPad using Forums
DAllenTCY Posted February 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2018 No, you cannot combine them. David
freestyling Posted February 15, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2018 I believe you will entitled to be a 1 star Mariner, since you have sailed on a CCL ship.
avian777 Posted February 15, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 15, 2018 No, you cannot combine them. David That is my understanding as well - a call to the Mariner Society office in Seattle would confirm this.
Bookited Posted February 15, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 15, 2018 You are one star because of your two sailing on HAL It has nothing to do with CCL sailings. On HAL only HAL cruises count, except when it is your first and you have sailed on another CCL then you are one star.
Krazy Kruizers Posted February 15, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 15, 2018 Sorry, you can not add your Princess cruise days to your HAL days.
rkacruiser Posted February 15, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 15, 2018 When Mr. Arnold Donald became CEO of Carnival Corporation, he said that one of his objectives was to find a way of combining the guest loyalty programs of the Corporation's Brands. It has not happened, obviously. Maybe if someone attends the Corporation's Annual Meeting this Spring, a question might be asked as to what progress is being made towards that goal. It has not happened, obviously. Maybe if someone attends the Corporation's Annual Meeting this Spring, a question might be asked as to what progress is being made towards that goal. They may have done some research about what combining would do and decided they would have too many high-level past passengers. Plus each line's system is different. For example, HAL gives you credit for onboard spending and booking a suite. Cunard doesn't do that. So would Cunard count only your actual sailing days on HAL? DaveOKC Posted February 16, 2018 #10 Share Posted February 16, 2018 I agree that combining credits would be very difficult. What I would like to see is all of the CCL lines honoring the level achieved at another CCL line. Like a 4 Star at HAL would be a ??? at Princess. That ought to be a step forward and I wonder why it cannot take place. As a Marriott Rewards Gold Member, despite the linking of my account with my Starwood Preferred Guest account, my Marriott Gold Member status did not provide the benefits that I expected at Santiago Sheraton Hotel and Resort. Marriott International seems to be having difficulty just as Carnival Corporation has discovered. But, why?
