Rare ontheweb Posted February 16, 2018 #29 Share Posted February 16, 2018 We had 2 days on Princess cruises (different cruises) in both St. Petersburg and for Edinburg. We would have loved to have had 2 days in Athens when we did a HAL Greek Isles cruise, but alas that was not to be.

Capt_BJ Posted February 16, 2018 #32 Share Posted February 16, 2018 I see you are already booked for a Viking Ocean, so you know that they have over nights in some itineraries .... not all, but some Bermuda cruises from the north do multiple day stays because there's no place else a ship can get to in the time available ..... I believe that most folks want to see as many locations as possible rather than overnighting and spending additional days in one location from a ship perspective, the ship company wants you in the ship casino and bars and shops where they make money vs in the island's places. At sea the ship makes money, at the pier the ship pays for parking ....

sloopsailor Posted February 17, 2018 #35 Share Posted February 17, 2018 On Celebrity we over nighted in St. Petersburg, with an arrival at 8:00 am the first day, and departure at 4:30 pm the second. This gave us quite a bit of time to see the sights. - One overnight port in a 12 night cruise. Again on Celebrity, we over nighted in Singapore, the embarkation port. We left the second day at 5:00 pm. Then in Bangkok, we arrived at 7:00 am and departed at 6:00 pm the following day. Another overnight stop in Hanoi, where we arrived at 1:00 pm and departed at 10:00 pm the next day. And lastly, in Hong Kong, where we arrived at 7:00 am and disembarked at 9:00 am the next day. - Four overnight ports in one 14 night cruise.
