I Luv Crusin Posted February 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2018 We are going to Barbados for the first time 11/2019. I normally like to do an island tour the first time we visit an island but I'd also like to snorkel or beach time. Has anyone one done a day tour on Barbados and who did you use? Rare Keith1010 Posted March 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2018 You might also want to check out Trip Advisor. We find it easy to just visit on our own without a formal tour. Keith
kayjo Posted March 13, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2018 We just got back and had a day in Barbados- booked Glory Tours and did a 1/2 day private tour. It was very good- our guide was Charles and we went to Harrison's Cave, St. Nicolas Abbey and The George Washington House- had planned to do a beach stop but the beaches all had warnings and our guide did not recommend going there. The tour we did was way longer than the 3.5 hour that was advertised, so a very good value. You do pay entrance fees to the attractions.

Going to in June as was wondering what "the beaches all had warnings" meant
kayjo Posted March 13, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Oops- I meant that the beaches all were under a "no swimming"/red flag type of warning because of high swells caused by all of the storms in the U.S. the prior week. They were beautiful to look at and hopefully when you go you can swim!

boingy300 Posted March 16, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 16, 2018 We just returned and had done William's Tours (As for Rooster to be your guide). He used to be in a musical group and would sing us songs and take us to great locations, as well as a great history of the island. I've been to Barbados a few times. This is my favorite tour so far. Here is (mostly photos) of our day.http://oslertravel.blogspot.com/2018/03/barbados.html Karen
