parrotfeathers Posted March 1, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Oh gosh I'm going to watch that. At first I thought it was that greasy hair fall in his face guy on Food network with his show Ginormous Food.

Melsyboo14 Posted March 1, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Can you explain more about this? It's a show about places or businesses that produce very large quantities of food. This particular episode focuses on the Oasis of the Seas. It shows a typical week of food on the ship. How it starts on the initial day of the cruise to the end. It's very interesting to see the storage of it, all the people involved in preparing, and all the care involved. They are a very well oiled machine! newdinndo Posted March 2, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 2, 2018 We watched this last night! Found it incredibly interesting. I feel more people who travel on cruise ships should watch this, especially those that think they are going to get a personally cooked, hot/steaming, best meal of their lives when the crew is cooking for 6000+ people. Water keeps you alive, food is just an energy boost :)
parrotfeathers Posted March 2, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 2, 2018 It was interesting how all the "cooks" sampled the evening's fare and saw how it was to be prepared on a plate. I don't know how they remember all the details. The waiter generally tells me what he thinks will be good if I ask and discreetly lets me know "don't choose that." Don't always follow his guidelines, but generally they have a good idea I think.
Rare tennislvr8 Posted March 3, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 3, 2018 Thanks for sharing. This was excellent. I agree, anyone watches this should complainway less about the food. This was way better than the galley tour I paid for. If I had seen this I would not have taken the tour in Dec. theSHAH Posted March 25, 2018 #13 Share Posted March 25, 2018 Blows my mind how much food that one boat goes through every week. How is America meeting our food demands?? Where is all this coming from?!

cruzeluver Posted March 26, 2018 #20 Share Posted March 26, 2018 We watched it last night and thought it was one of the best cruise-related programs we have seen. Extremely well done. If you have any interest in ship operations its well worth the time. Thanks for the alert!
