TravelingFlea Posted March 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2018 There are 7 parents and 7 high school senior boys booked on the March 11, 2018 cruise. Our boys are too old to enjoy the teen clubs and I'm looking for ideas on what there is offered for their age group, especially in the evening. I also haven't been able to find closing times for putt putt and basketball court....I'm probably overlooking it
WisconsinFan Posted March 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2018 They will have each other to keep company. Unfortunately, there really is limited organized activities for the 18-20 year old crowd. The sports court is open 24/7, unless they have an organized activity. They will have 18+ 3 on 3 tournaments while you are cruising. Watch the compass and have them show up at the sign up time. Our son participated with those on our Harmony cruise last spring when he was 18. During the day they can do the triva contests if they like that sort of thing. There will be rock climbing as well as open skate. Our boys once they turned 18 found they ended up hanging at the pool with us more than normal. gerif Posted March 2, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2018 They can do anything any adult can do except drink alcohol. Not sure there are any organized activities for any adults that would be closed to them except maybe a wine or martini tasting.
cb at sea Posted March 2, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2018 Putt putt is open 24/7...no set time, no attendants....same with the sports court.... They are young adults, and will gravitate to where the girls are, I'm sure! That would be the pool!
waitingtogo Posted March 2, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 2, 2018 unless things have changed a lot since my boys were 18, all they need is 18 yr old girls to make them happy.
Grandma Dazzles Posted March 2, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 2, 2018 They can do anything you do, except drink alcohol. Some clubs/dance venues may have a 10:00 pm admission rule. Ship's usually have a 1:00 -am curfew, unless with parent/guardian.

TravelingFlea Posted March 2, 2018 Author #8 Share Posted March 2, 2018 Thank you for the guidance! I didn't know that the sports court is open 24/7. This is great news! I'm sure that they will figure it out! No girls please! HaHa! It's bro time! ;pProbably the last time that they will all be together!:loudcry::loudcry:
Heatherco Posted March 2, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 2, 2018 I think they will have a blast! Mine loved the shows...especially the late night comedians and Quest. They also LOVE hanging out in the hot tubs after spending time on the sports deck and stuffing their faces at Johnny Rockets.
KiwiGal117 Posted March 2, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 2, 2018 I was looking at a Recent Cruise Compass for this particular cruise and noticed that there are a few organized 18-20 events. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
LS6Caddy Posted March 2, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 2, 2018 I can't imagine them not having fun. And there is a group of them, so friends will always find fun when together. With pools, flow rider, sports court, putt-putt, rock climbing...there is plenty of stuff to do. The evenings may be a little more challenging, depending on their age and interests. If things like shows, live music, comedians and such are their cup of tea they will have lots of options. It will also help if they are all 18. Then, as people have mentioned, their only limitation will be alcohol...and the casino. The night club, the Quest, adult comedy shows will all be at their disposal. As mentioned, being there is a group of them...they will have a ball together. My first cruise I was a few months shy of my 21st birthday, but traveled with a group which included friends and cousins of the same age, and we had the best time. Also, I am not sure if anybody mention...girls;)
