Everything Casino Offers -- Premier, Getaway, Pack&Play, and other Casino offers

Glad to see this thread and how all offers vary:

I sailed on Pride on 2/4...7 day from Baltimore and had booked it as a Premier. It was around $1100 for a balcony, booked as a SINGLE. I got $200 cash and DOU from the beginning. Lots of gifts, perks, Steakhouse comp, I got called twice for the 1/2 hour drawings, one I missed $300..(I ran off to get a sandwich) and another I was present and got $350. I won $475 on Dodge the bull. I was paid off twice by attendant and the machine I played wouldn't die....LOL. I had 11,000 points at the end and came home way ahead.

I was offered the repeat casino cruiser offer and went back again on 3/4....same cruise. Went with a friend and it was about $317 each. DOU from Day one but no cash. Even though the cruise was a Premier I was told I wasn't eligible since I had taken the repeat offer and the Premier offer had expired. I did get some comps, Steakhouse and won another $300 on a drawing. The same machine this time payed SPIT...LOL. I had 12,000 points and came home a "loser." I did get a call 2 days before the cruise and was given a FREE premium balcony vs. an inside that I booked.

Again, I got the repeat casino offer and am doing the Pride again...14 day Journey cruise on 11/4. Includes DOU, and cash. I found out that it is also a Premier but I won't be a Premier guest, again, same reason as the 3/4.

Some people who were on the 2/4 and 3/4 were given the same repeat offer and barely had 500 points so I really have no clue how they work it out sometimes.

Four years ago I got the Pack and Go offers. One was an 8 day on Splendor for $75. I got it on Monday and was on the ship on Saturday...LOL

We'll see what happens next!:D:D

yes its all different BUT.. what has upset me is for people to suggest its all lies, bunch of crap.. when such is not the caes.

last year i also did the Ultra for Free and did teh Elite for Free in 2016...

and then you have those who say oh well you lost thousands in the casino thats why .. no.. im ahead overall... i pasted a link below to the cruise where i started with 100 dollars and had 13 hand pay jackpots.. not to mention those that were 8 or 900 but not high enough for hand pay.. i walked off the ship with so much cash i had to split it cause we cntn cross border with more than 10 grand... and then i chose to not spend more than 100 once in a while, and now i dont even spend that... i figure im ahead now with those huge payouts.. so ill stay ahead and enjoy the freebies

I know what you mean...

Sometimes I don't even tell people that I cruise with what I paid when we are on the same cruise. Sailed with people on Sunshine 2 years ago and to this day they don't know I cruised for port charges and taxes while they paid over $1000 each.

Check out UR comped. They match your offers and cruiseline status.. I did MSC Divina last October for the first time and that was totally free and they matched my RCL Diamond status so I got even more perks.

yes! doing MSC Seaside in April they comped me interior and within 24 hours i was advised i had a free balcony. Doing a b2b2b Glory Glory MSC 21 glorious nights, and paid only taxes for both carnival and MSC totally free not even taxes. So myself and a friend doing 21 nights for 220 each for all 3 cruises that is, taxes 110 taxes 110 and zero for third.. get the drinks card on both Glory and drink free in casino on MSC as well.. looking forward to it all but will be nice to try MSC.. had my status match Diamond on Carnival so black on MSC.. nice perks with that too, the steakhouse dinner etc etc.. but.. as you say.. ppl dont believe.. oh well i shall enjoy!

Good for you!

Keep in mind too that on MSC you don't have to be actively playing in the casino to get drinks. Just walk up to the bar and get whatever you like, anytime you like. I didn't find that out until the 3rd day...LOL

Friends of mine are going again on April 28th...

Hi Pam,

I get similar casino comps to what you are describing on both Carnival and RCL, as well as MLife land casinos. I have been uploading every offer I have gotten to UR Comped for over a year, and nothing! Am I doing something wrong there?

Thanks!!

Hi Steve i played in the 100k in 2016. I didnt win the seat i had it transferred to me.

I didnt do well, and i know the person who won had not played blackjack before, they too had it transferred to them . won 50k or at least that is what she said.. so i have no reason to disbelieve.

i cant comment on the good strat cause i dont have that myself.. but there were over 200 started.

Thanks a lot Newfie! I actually wondered how many people were going to have them transferred. My family has won several seats for BJ and Slot tourneys in the past and not used them, assume other are in the same boat (no pun intended). Did they have a lot of activities related to the tourney? Were the slots tight? I'm going with my parents and they are exclusively slot players. After my last cruise, I'm done on cruise ship slots but know they won't listen to reason, maybe just maybe I could convince them they are going to be tighter than normal this cruise and get them to lay off a bit of play.

well i dont remember that specific cruise but... i ONLY do premiers, elite, ultras, and special tourneys. I did over a dozen last year. I do know i was on a cruise where 20,000 was won twice.. another we had 10,000 winner, and that was slot play not the tourney ,. so heres hoping its good to you!

Ahh nice! I really appreciate your insights, happy sailing!:D

Sorry to derail the thread everyone!

I don't know...LOL...I registered and had nothing to send since I threw everything away. Then I got a Carnival offer and uploaded it to them and a few days later, got some offers to land based casinos. A week later, I got cruise offers and then got an offer from RCL on Anthem from Cape Liberty and some MSC. I was on Pride when I got these and then got an e-mail that my offer had expired and to request another offer.

I've yet to send them my most recent offer. I wanted to try Anthem from NJ since there is no flying but have since booked Pride again for Nov.

Keep trying...:)

LOL! Heck yeah I 'll keep trying! Free is free! My problem is the casino's keep sending me such great offers, I book through them then don't have any more vacation time to do more! Ah well, maybe I'll get the timing right eventually!

Thanks for the info!

I am waiting also! We're booked for an early September Premier, but haven't seen any updates for new Premier Getaways for (hopefully) a short Fall cruise. Maybe next month!

I've emailed the casino club, told them others were waiting for the ultra's to be announced, told them about this thread, trying to put a little spark in their backsides to get the dates out!;p

Kinda wish you hadn't done that. The subject/point of this thread is to share casino offers we have all gotten and try to figure out what it takes to get them, what offers are being made, etc. Because the casino is so hush-hush about them. I realize this thread has gone totally off topic. But it's certainly not a thread about when the dates of the Ultras are going to be announced. :o

You're comment makes no sense!

Ultras are 'offers' just like any other casino offer! And posters are trying to figure out how/when to get them!

Perhaps you should have stated on your first comment, no comments about ultra offers!

To expand even more on that excellent answer and get into the specifics . . .

Put your card in the slot machine every single time and leave it in there while you are playing. Hand your card to the table dealers every single time you start playing (not only when you are getting chips!!)

SLOTS

You get 1 point for each $2.50 you have played through the machine.

500 points = $1250 played through, 1000 points = $2500 played through, 1500 points = $3750 played through, etc, etc

For example, if you put in $20 and lose it all, you will get 8 points. If you win $50 on that initial $20 and keep playing the initial 20 plus the 50 in winnings through the machine, then you will get 28 points. OR - ever how many points, based on ever how long all that money lasts if you keep getting small winnings along the way and keep playing them. If you hit it big and won $1000 on that initial 20 and kept playing it through the different slot machines in the casino over the course of your cruise, you would get 408 points (or more including small winnings along the way). Even though you actually only ever put in $20 of your own money.

You need 500 points for $5 back given as slot play, 1000 points for $10 back - both automatic on the machine. You need 1500 points on a 7-day cruise to get the first on-board comp which is the Drinks on Us card. More points after that will get more notice and more comps like deliveries to the room, steakhouse, spa, etc. 5000 points will give you DOU card right from the first day of your next cruise as well.

TABLES

It's all about average bet x time played. They don't rate it as "points" like are earned on slot machines, but to keep it simple I am going to use "points" to make my comparison. I think tables/games with higher odds (worse for you) will earn more "points" ?? Also, I think faster games may earn more points (for example, if roulette plays more spins per hour than blackjack plays hands played per hour) ?? But not sure, this is my guessing. The information on table games is not readily available online. I think you need approx 200 points for DOU card on table games, but I am NOT sure about this. IF this is accurate then .....

$10 per hand x 20 hours = 200

$20 per hand x 10 hours = 200

$25 per hand x 8 hours = 200

$50 per hand x 4 hours = 200

$100 per hand x 2 hours = 200

(per hand would be whatever they rate as your "average bet" whether thats betting $10 hand of blackjack, $10 in chips on roulette, $10 on craps table, etc)

NOTE: your casino "points" have nothing to do with the sailing days you have with Carnival. For example, if you have sailed 2 cruises each 7 days you will have 14 VIFP Points, or if you sail 4 cruises of 7 days you will have 28 VIFP points (and you will be Gold rated). https://www.carnival.com/loyalty/benefits.aspx

Great explanation, thanks :), but Yikes! Does this means you have to spend $3,750 at the slots just to get a drink card?

Can someone please tell me what Global Casino Services is? I tried looking it up on line, but could find anything.

Also, does gambling on one cruise carry over to a following one, or do you start from scratch with each new cruise?

Thanks bunches

$3750 would be the money you put through the machine and not that you spent $3750 of your own. I normally take $700 for a 7 day cruise and easily hit 5000+ points. You do win sometimes. ;)

You start from scratch each cruise.

Going again....

Couldn't let the recent casino offer from Pride go to waste....

7 day 4/8 to Bermuda: $317.00 including port charges, taxes, gratuities and trip insurance. Also have free drinks in casino (DOU) and a $200 OBC. And that's for going SOLO....inside cabin, good location.

Now if they upgrade me to a FREE balcony like they did in March, I'll be more thrilled...LOL:D:D:D:D:D

Hi. Thank you for starting this thread. I want to share my experience because it might help others and ask a couple of questions. I hope it's not too "off topic". I sailed on Magic earlier this year (first Carnival Cruise in 20 plus years, so long ago I don't count it). I am a slot player. I spent a decent amount of time in the casino with my friends. I earned the DOU card the 2nd night. I had cookies sent to my room and I was also approached in the casino with an offer for a comped dinner for 4 of us in the Italian restaurant and a free bottle of wine. The last night I intended to go to the casino to ask about future offers I might be eligible for, but when I went it was so busy I didn't get a chance to talk to someone. Granted, I only stayed a short time. I assumed they would put something in my room like Royal did last year. They didn't. I have no idea of the # of points I ultimately earned. I know it was over 5000 at one point because one of the ladies I was with commented about it.

My only other recent cruise was on Royal last year (Independence, not sure if it matters). I booked it through a myvegas reward. I only paid port charges, tax and about $200 to upgrade to a balcony. I got an offer for $500 off a future cruise my last day (delivered to my room). I consistently get offers for free cruises, or $500 off any cruise.

I actively played in the casino on Magic for several more hours than I did last year on Indy (in 5 days I was there about 1 to a maximum of 2 hours a night). I enjoyed the cruise on Magic a lot better, even though I didn't fare as well in the casino. I wrote a review of sorts with my opinion/comparison of the two. I had Harmony booked $500 off of a pretty good sale from last year, for June of this year. I already had airfare to Southern Florida on American, and it wasn't refundable (flying SW home, and that could be changed). My upcoming June cruise is with my teenage son (he'll be a couple weeks shy of 16), and he was pretty excited about the water slides, dry slide, etc. on Harmony. At the time, Indy didn't have anything like that, but most Carnival ships do. I checked and Vista was sailing the same date, 8 night Southern itinerary. I decided if I could get some type of offer I'd switch. It took me quite a bit of legwork. I asked the PVP I was assigned. She had no clue how to find out about a casino offer. I tried looking up on line, and found an option to send an email to Global Casino Service. It took a while but they finally got back to me and offered:

  • Offer Code: O1V

  • Offer Type: Discounted interior cabin on select sailings

  • Book By Date: 2/23/2018

I was so disappointed with the reply I almost didn't look into it. I decided to just email it to my PVP. It ends up it is a decent offer. I was able to book a balcony room for $1500 total for 2 with $200 on board credit. A mock booking at the same time was about $1000 more (not logged in). I switched immediately. The offer was $200 less than my $500 off on Harmony, I didn't get any OBC on Harmony, I like the itinerary better and it's 8 nights not 7. I also like more free/included dining. More family friendly (at least that was my opinion), I don't have to reserve shows, etc.

So, for anyone reading this like me, it is so worth it to seek out offers.

First question: Do I qualify for a DOU card my first night?

Based on what I have read it sounds like I can have more than one offer booked. I really want to book another cruise for Summer 2019. Hopefully I get another good offer. Right now I only have:

PTC

up to $500 off

$350 casino cash

The rate isn't much different from what I have found doing a mock reservation.

I'm sort of afraid my casino offers will dry up or reduce significantly after June because, well it is a different kind of trip.

Last question: If I do get another casino offer (and book for 2019), and I don't play to their standards in June, can they rescind the offer?

Hi Sunny - I will help with what I can and hope that someone more knowledgeable than me chimes in with more info.

Currently I have 4 cruises booked with Carnival, three of them various casino offers. I have found that the offers that begin with P are generally less of a discount, but they include some form of cash, while the offers that begin with O are better discounts, can include OBC, but do not include cash.

Usually you will only get one O offer, and it is usually more of a bounceback (within 2 weeks of getting off the ship) but the P offers will continue throughout the year. The cash/discount offered may not be as good if you gamble less, but they will probably not dry up all together.

And you should be able to get the DOU card on the first night with 5000+ points on your last cruise, but my first attempt at this benefit will be this July so I am not positive. Hope this helps!

If you booked a Premier cruise, which is what it sounds like you did, you receive all the benes. of the Premier cruise.

A bag of goodies including the drink card for you and one other in your cabin will be waiting for you in your cabin, if not, see the casino dept. after muster!

You may book up to 20 offers when the Premier offers come out, as has been stated by others on Cruise Critic.

If you get 7500 pts on a Premier cruise during a review period, you will be invited to ultra cruises, which offer slightly better prizes.

Happy cruising, and congrats on your offer!:D

Received an offer with the same O1V code on the Valor in February:

$100 for an interior room + $100 onboard credit on 2 to 5 day cruises or $200 for an interior room + $100 onboard credit on 6 day or longer cruises.

I’d imagine that offer code is the same for everyone who gets it.
