Mr Gee Posted March 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2018 I’m thinking about doing a cruise in the Med in May and was wondering if the Patio Grill is open for dinner when it is cooler in the evenings. Do they have those outdoor heaters or are they too dangerous on a ship?
jenidallas Posted March 24, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2018 They do have outdoor heaters and they do stay open as long as the weather is okay for the crew to work safely. We had dinner out in Alaska wearing our jackets and wrapped in the blankets Seabourn provides at the outdoor venues. We usually only seen the Patio Grill closed when they have an on-deck event that evening (Officers on Deck or Rock the Boat) or when the weather conditions make it unsafe for the crew to work safely (rough seas or steady rain). Chairsin Posted March 24, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 24, 2018 Also Patio Grill is usually closed on formal night. And as Jenidallas notes they do have ceiling heaters. We actually had lunch outside many days in Antarctica so we could enjoy the scenery. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Roxburgh Posted March 25, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 25, 2018 On our recent Cape Town to Singapore cruise there were a few evenings when it was too hot and humid to eat outside. Perhaps Seabourn should install misters.
BBQ Lover Posted March 25, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 25, 2018 We did the Med in May earlier this year and it didn't get cold enough for anybody to even consider wanting outdoor heat lamps. YMMV. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk
