Luvsnorkeling Posted March 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2018 I searched several times and couldn't find any posts to answer my question. Where is Princess currently docking in St. Thomas? It seems there are two possible locations. Thanks!
fishin' musician Posted March 24, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2018 Havensight seems to be getting most if not all Princess ships.
eclue Posted March 24, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 24, 2018 We were just there two weeks ago on the Crown and we docked at Havensight.
fishywood Posted March 24, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 24, 2018 (edited) With rare exceptions Crown Bay is only used by RCCL-owned lines or a few luxury ships. Been that way for several years. So bet the farm you will be at Havensight. The official USVI ship schedule website is finally back on line post-Hurricane(s) but the link is blocked by Cruise Critic. Put your googling skills to use and you will have the definitive answer. Edited March 24, 2018 by fishywood

Lucky TGO Posted March 25, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 25, 2018 Does anyone know approximately how far of a walk it is from Havensight to the main downtown shopping? My wife and I have walked it at least 6 times. She walks slow and it took us about 25 minutes. It’s a very nice walk along the sure. Tony
Rare mexicobob Posted March 25, 2018 #12 Share Posted March 25, 2018 We took a very affordable taxi with other shipmates and worth every penny. VERY hot when we were there.

Shipcats6 Posted March 25, 2018 #15 Share Posted March 25, 2018 Taxis are readily available and very grateful for the business.
wheezedr Posted March 25, 2018 #16 Share Posted March 25, 2018 Took us about 25 mins so less than 2 miles. Taxis were $4pp and run back and forth continually. They will slow down as you are walking from down to offer a ride.

LeeW Posted March 25, 2018 #19 Share Posted March 25, 2018 Taxis are readily available and very grateful for the business. Good point. Going in a few weeks and usually walk at least one way but think we will just use the taxis this time.

baronessk Posted March 26, 2018 #22 Share Posted March 26, 2018 There is nothing downtown other than jewelry shops, jewelry shops and more jewelry shops!
C-LAD Posted March 26, 2018 #23 Share Posted March 26, 2018 about two miles. Nice walk along the shore We were there in January and the walkway along the shore was closed just past the shops due to the hurricane damage. Must bypass by going out to the road and coming back further down. May be open by now.
floridalover5623 Posted March 26, 2018 #24 Share Posted March 26, 2018 There is nothing downtown other than jewelry shops, jewelry shops and more jewelry shops! Most of them are probably owned by the same group of merchants.
fishin' musician Posted March 26, 2018 #25 Share Posted March 26, 2018 I miss Crown Bay. :loudcry: Me too, much more relaxing environment. Plus, it's a quick walk to the marina and the water taxi to Water Island... then a day chilling at Dinghy's!
