Wonderful Copenhagen 2018 edition.

If you go to Nordea and Danske bank at the airport you will get the normal rate.

If you go a few 100 meters down Strøget from the city hall you will reach a Danske Bank on your righ hand just before a little square.

Here is my photo guide to use the busses to Oceankaj.

Since there is a 6 photo limit (helloooo cruise critic) I have to split it up in sections so have patience with me. :D

1 step is to find your train or metro at the airport.

We start with the train because I think its the best solution, here you can both get the 25 bus from Nørreport and also the 25 and 27 bus from Østerport.

First you reach track 1 for Sweden bound trains and the ticket machines, the taxies will be located outside on the right.

The hotel shuttle busses are for Crowne Plaza, AC Hotel Bella Sky and Marriott (and in the near future also Hilton)

Here it is.

Here is the train (photo is taken from track 1)

Lots of space for the luggage

And to find the metro

Follow the signs after the before mentioned track 2.

Here its important to stay to the right because the escalators on the left side of the terminal (not in the picture) goes down from the metro.

Arriving at Nørreport with the airport train.

And finally from the metro

Use the escalators you see on you left hand.

Continue straight ahead

The bus stop is to the left of that funny looking building.

If you use the elevator you just have to walk up to the yellow bus at the end of the street and turn left.

Over the pedestrian crossing and to your left it is,

Now to bus 25 itself.

Important, even though the timetable doesn´t specify it the bus stops at Østerport station and not just Folke Bernadottes Allé.

Departures from Nørreport is at XX:00, XX:20 and XX:40 and at Østerport 5 minutes after that.

Not that much visible in the picture but there is space for luggage by the middle of the bus.

Østerport is a little bit easier to navigate.

No matter if you arrive by S-train or airport train you just continue in the same direction as the train

41970177651_ab69b6439d_b.jpg

Turn right (or left if you use the elevator)

27101375457_5a50f79694_b.jpg

But notice, the elevator on the bus side is not done yet, I will report when its finished.

Sorry its a blurry picture but it shows the views from the bus stop towards the pedestrian bridge

As noted before then the 25 bus departs around XX:05, XX:25 and XX:45 from Østerport.

For 27 it look like this.

On Mondays to Fridays between 10:00 and 13:00 it departs at XX:23 amd XX:53, before 10:00 there are more departures.

After 13:00

After 14:00 the bus departs at XX:09, XX:24, XX: XX:39 and XX:59.

The last bus at this frequency is 17:38, after that its each 30th minute until 19:08.

On weekends and public holidays its goes every 30th minute from 07:58 to 17:58 with the other departures of course being at XX:28.

Thanks for the photos Danish viking, that will be very helpful in about 1 months time for us.

Based on the bus schedules for going to Oceankaj, it seems like the 25 bus is the better choice when going to broad for the start of a cruise when going around mid-day

A couple of questions about the Langeliniekaj cruise terminal:

1. Is there free wifi at the cruise terminal area?

2. Is it an easy walk to Osterport metro station? Copenhagen tourism office told me it's a 10-min walk. Is it flat and easy, even with a suitcase on wheels?

Thanks.

Its weird that the tourist office didn´t tell you that you can buy it on the phone.

https://dinoffentligetransport.dk/citypass

Thanks for the link. Actually, the tourist office did tell me about that. However, for me the online option isn't ideal because, according to the information on the website, 1) ticket delivery on day of first usage is via SMS, and I normally block incoming SMS to avoid spam and message charges, especially when overseas, and 2) I'll need to have my phone with me the whole time while exploring Copenhagen, and I normally lock my phone in the hotel safe while I'm touring around.

In the past, and in some places, such passes, at least in paper form, can be purchased in advance, and later I can write the date and time on the pass before the first usage. This, unfortunately, is not possible with the Copenhagen City Pass. If I buy a paper ticket, from machines at train or metro stations, apparently the validity starts right away, with no possibility of specifying a future date and time. For the online version, it is possible to pre-specify a future date and time, but it comes with disadvantages as I mentioned above for my own situation.

@ sfvoyage.

Just remember that the 7 Eleven at Østerport is closed until next summer as part of the huge renovation of the station.

So you have to buy the ticket at the ticket machines at the platform.

Thank you for this information.

I didn't know that there are two options: 7-Eleven or ticketing machines. If the 7-Eleven store were open, do they sell the same ticket, i.e. Validity starts immediately, as the ticket machines, without possibility to specify a future start date and time?

Question: Is there some place that I can store my luggage for a few hours? We are spending time in CPH after our cruise but the earliest we can access our flat is 11:30 and we are off the boat around 8 am. I've no desire to wander around CPH with our luggage. I've searched this thread but only see info about going to the airport. TIA!

I have booked with Luggage Hero based on the recommendation of my airbnb host. Finding the specific locations is a bit of a challenge, but I found the online chat help to be very helpful in finding the best location based on our plans.

Danish Viking thank you so much for doing this. Made me realize I can't do the bus as there are way too many stairs to lug our heavy luggage doing the train to the airport. Excellent pictures!!

There are elevators as well, just not on the bus station at Østerport as shown on the pictures.

But then just use Nørreport.
